Hmm not sure what to think of the WOM of Elemental. I see it gets good user reviews, maybe not outstanding though. I see lots of fawning Japanese comments on youtube but also some critical ones. Like the movie is too ugly and not cute/pretty enough for the Japanese audience.

Not sure if this is the most popular hashtag but I'm seeing a good amount of praise for it, particularly Wade's VA (Tamamori Yuta) in the Japanese dub.

yeah "Tama-chan" is very popular and often mentioned in these comments. His usual job is an idol singer.

 

One of the crtitical comments said though, "Women love Tama-chan, but do they love water monsters?"

it'll make way more mon-fri than on the actual weekend most likely.

 

japan is usually wed>=mon (depending on female appeal)>fri>tue>thu and those weekdays for young-skewing films are really big during summer break (otherwise these films usually have pretty bad mon-fri but great sat-sun).
