Very happy with the Tuesday result for Elemental. Of course I'm rooting for it. Probably #2 for amount of tickets sold, but maybe #3 or #4 for yen gross.

 

Excited to see what Wednesday will bring especially if the Osaka theaters are open then.

I am still annoyed that they spend so much money on live-action films and not at all on animated films, which are their biggest earners. Why not spend 5 billion yen on an animated Dragon Ball or Slam Dunk movie?

Looking at the spreadsheet I have for Elemental I'm pretty sure Tuesday is the day Elemental passed or tied with Lightyear in the yen gross department.

I think it's well on its way to a 2.5 billion yen gross. Which would be $17.2 million. Could always be adjusted higher though, if legs permit.

Hmm with the new update on mimorin, early in the day, Elemental is trending 46% above yesterday. If it keeps on being 46% above yesterday it could have the most ticket sold of any day yet in its run. Maybe not #1 for yen gross but maybe yes for most tickets sold.

hmm I think Elemental has 75,000 sampled sales now. Might be heavier on Mimorin because of discounts at Toho and 109 Cinemas. I guess by the end of the day it could be 80,000 but I'm not sure.

Less than 11% shows left. last 20 mins, Elemental added 349 Mimorin + 80 AEON = 429 // 78,064 now. Wonder if it could defeat 1st Sunday (79,450) or not
