It sort of has to reach that mark or else executives and distributors will be vary wary of Pixar's next original films.druv10 - Unless most who had interested in the film saw it over Obon Week, it's likely to beat Spider-Man. Spider-Man is nearly finished and had very poor legs, especially for a Summer release. The sequel will probably suffer and see a significant drop-off, and I doubt the exchange rate is as favorable as this year's to save it in dollars.

I doubt executives and distributors will get restless especially with Monsters University coming out next year. I remember, you saying that MU has a shot at 100M+.
