I see, the funny thing is that probably with less "star" guests (I've heard there were some youtuber and influencers...) the budget would have been lower and at the same it would have been better and grossed more...

Yes maybe, everything was bad in this film : visuals, cast, scenario ... Studios should be happy because this movies deserved way less than 4M spectators

1561 Paris 14h for JW4 (1779 for JW3). I was honestly expecting more, but let's wait for OD numbers. Paris+Périphérie 14h is flat from JW4 though. 4.3/5 audience score, which is really good. Press reviews at 3.7/5 (down from 3.8 yesterday) are also impressive, since these type of movies typically don't get such high scores.

Such a shame, less than 500000 tickets for being in the all time top 10 for Avatar 2, anyway amazing success, less than 10 % than first Avatar.

Steep drop for everything, after le printemps du cinéma. John Wick posted the biggest opening of the franchise, which is obviously great, but I would have expected it to at least outgross a random Dujardin film (Sur les chemins noirs), given the rave reviews and WOM + having been shot in Paris. 

 

Next week, Je verrai toujours vos visages and Shazam should be the biggest openers. The latter will be losing its PLF screens shortly to Three Musketeers, which is holding nationwide previews on sunday ahead of its wednesday opening.

I went to see JW4 last Thursday and almost got a bottle of glass hit my eye due to protests going on 

 

Felt very risky going to the movies but again it was at Le Grand Rex witch is near the centre of where the tensions are going on .

This apparently was how full last night's preview show for Shazam 2 at the Grand Rex was

 

 

(tbh, this is the 9pm showing, there was another one at 6, and many others in other theaters, but it should be doing way better)

But yesterday there were strikes in transportation and again very high tensions near the area where le Grand REX is. 

 

Last Thursday I went there to see JW4 and they were closed for security and I had to enter through a backdoor .

 

BTW Shazam 2 also did 27 entries in the 9 AM showing today in Les Halles , catastrophic
