Rsyu
Does that usually happen? Not usually, DoFP was one of the worst hit screen/showtime wise due to the new releases that came out today. If there are indications that the new releases will bomb then I suppose they could give some back. wouldn't count on it though

Rsyu
If Edge of tomorrow does somehow manage to pass 4 million in admissions it will be the fourth foreign release to do so this year (almost 5 if you count CA2). Last year had only 2 films (IM3-9 million, WWZ-5.2 million) that passed the mark, and with blockbusters such as HTTYD2, planet of the apes, TF4, interstellar etc upcoming, it's shaping up to be a great year for hollywood.

Rsyu
That's a very solid hold for EoT. Too bad it will get murdered by TF4 next week.Business will definately drop but it will still likely be the strongest of the holdovers. Hopefully 300k+ Saturday-sunday will bring total admissions close to 3.8 million and it will squeeze it's way to 4 million from there.
