A Marvel Fanboy
Firedeep, did you hear this from a credible source? It sounds like it's probably a rumor that's untrue. I just spoke with a senior Universal executive yesterday who told me that the company is still in shock over Paul Walker's passing--many people in Hollywood are--and they're trying to be extremely sensitive about how they handle things with FF. It's certainly possible that they could team up with Bill Kong and EDKO on the franchise, but it seems too early for them to make such a decision given that Walker passed away less than a week ago. The source was from Edko insider, who has been fairly credible. It was said the co-production deal was completed two days before Paul Walker car crash and they were planning to shoot some scenes (which is a necessary for coproduction) in China sometime right after the shooting in Dubai next month. Now since the whole production on FF7 has been put on hold, no one knows if the coproduction agreement can still make through. The coproduction news, even if indeed true, probably wont be released before Universal start working on FF7 again. Now FF7 is definitely on hold, no decisions will likely be made for at least a few weeks. My friends at Universal are very shaken up, as though they lost a family member. Olive
Does Gravity have any chance of getting to $70M? It will have Imax for another 2 weeks, should help it make it to 70M.
Bob Violence
Question: Digifilm sez that Gravity ends its run on the 19th and CF on the 21st. So does that mean all IMAX screens in the country will just sit idle for two days until Police Story 2013 comes out on the 24th?
Robert Cain
Does Gravity have any chance of getting to $70M? It's at $66 million as of Saturday, and should get to at least $72 million by the end of its run.

If it couldnt be released before March (when another Disney release Need for Speed arrives), then the chance will be very small.

A Marvel Fanboy
I was talking about "Stored". Does this mean a future release? A possible future release, like what happened to EPIC, long delay or no release at all, depending on the need of CFC ...
