Terrible opening for Lego Batman!
 
The Lego films can be considered a success for what they are proposing to do. The Lego Movie was an undisputed hit only in the English-speaking countries, (US $257 million, UK $57 million and Australia $27 million...Total: $341 milhões). Excluding the English-speaking countries the film made only $125 million. I believe it to be unanimous that the jokes are directed to this language.

 

Despite its success in some countries, it may be time for Warner Bros. to review its strategy for Lego films.

Apart from Zootopia animated movies are really bombing in China....they don't have families, teens going in theaters there???? Compared with Japan and South Korea it's pretty striking!

I agree in part!

Angry Birds last year made $ 75 million (budget return). Lego Batman has been making good numbers in the United States and United Kingdom, the rest of the world just 'ok', in some countries has been a bomb.

In my opinion Batman is an overrated character, stayed after the Nolan movies. I think if it was a more focused animation in the Lego universe would do better numbers in China and other countries.

At one of the top 10 cinema in CHina, Lego Batman only had 2 dubbed showings on Saturday.

Even though I don't like the movie that much, I feel sad for it.

Chinese audience prefer tactile, concrete, analog live-action movies. Not only animation requires more suspension of disbelief,

some of the jokes in LB is just too self-aware for them to enjoy.

Mar 8 holiday? PS are bigger than today already. Zoo bumped 90% last year.

 

Dog going to be close to flat today. 

Second weekend likely to increase WoW.

Maybe it tries for $100m
