As a fan of Cruise, I am disappointed to say that the movie is really bad. Bad cinematography, bad narrative, bad directing... the director apparently didn't know how to direct. Tom seems an amnesiac Ethan Hunt who've got lost on the set of a Resident Evil film where Russell Crowe somehow happens to be taking a cameo, carelessly. (Actually this is worse than the latest Resident Evil film. RE6, while bad, at least was entertaining IMO.) Sofia Boutella tries to be scary but she is not. Annabelle Wallis is VERY good-looking in the film but she is not acting. There are supposed to be some decent action scenes but they're all ruined by annoying jump scares and baffling flashbacks. It's almost as dull as GITS. this thing could pull a GITS in NA ... 25M OW / 50M TOTAL won't surprise me atp. The Dark Universe, it's not gonna fly. 1 hour ago, fmpro said: Ouchhhh. I am only curious now whether Mummy will leave the chance to Alien to top the legendary record of biggest 2nd weekend drop of all time for a major release set by last month's Power Rangers. 98% or 97% that is ...
