Gopher
You're more than welcome to. TDKR has a Warren Report sized list of things wrong with it so your complaints about BD2 are tame compared to the problems in TDKR. TDKR is a flawed good movie. There's nothing good about BD2, except a 20 minute fight scene at the end.

TDKR isn't just flawed, it's downright silly.
Gopher
Okay. BD2 isn't just silly, it's crazy. It's so bad that it's somewhat entertaining. Opinions are fun!
baumer
TDKR actually wants you to believe that Batman had a good three hours to dump gasoline in a perfectly shaped BAT along a building, and no one saw this....and then light it on fire. PDC1987
There's 50 films there....do you really think you are going to agree with me on even half of them? That's not the point. TDKR is messy, but Battleship is complete trash. Hathaway's performance alone shits on Battleship's entire existence.

baumer
Battleship was fun, it was entertaining. It didn't try to be something other than that. TDKR took itself way too seriously.

You made that complaint up. What do you want them to be doing in a room? Cartwheels? Playing Twister? Building something? And even if that were true, it doesn't make it a flaw, where as the gas thing is inexcusable. Gopher
Acting like real people may be nice. Here's another good complaint: nothing of consequence actually happens in the movie. The only thing on screen that does happen didn't actually happen. Why? Were they afraid of not adhering to Stephanie Meyer's preliterate ramblings?

TDKR is flawed in almost every scene.
Gopher
See, even you can't defend BD2! TDKR half works on a plot level but totally works on an emotional level. That's why I defend it.
baumer
Sure I can. But I've already told you I won't answer your questions because they are just there to mock the film. You can like TDKR all you want, it's your opinion and that's fine. It worked for you, it didn't for me. What can I say? Gopher
Sure. Again, you're baumer, I'm Gopher. We have different tastes. The only problem I have is that, while I can understand why you don't like TDKR, I have no idea why you like BD2. Seriously. Answer my questions and maybe I'll get some semblance of an opinion.
baumer
I don't need your approval to validate my love of the film.
Gopher
But it's helpful. Honestly, I think you won't answer some of my questions because you can't. Nobody can. I've already contended that the fire Bat symbol makes no sense. Now it's your turn!
baumer
Honestly Gopher, I'll pass. Thanks but no thanks. I've been doing this for 3 years now. If you guys hate the films thats fine. I have no problem with it. If you like a film that to me is ridiculous, then that is fine too. But I'm not going to answer your questions. I don't feel the need to. Edited January 6, 2013 by baumer
Michael Gary Scott
It's a movie does everything have to be completely realistic if so why it's a batman movie!
Gopher
Okay. I'm done. It's just that you've said that you can't understand why anyone would think BD2 is a bad movie and I'm appalled by that statement.
Ozymandias
I could understand Baumer's obsession with Twilight if he were a horny teenage girl, but not as a middle aged man he is.
Ozymandias
Completely untrue. BD2 is better written, acted, scripted and directed that TDKR. Not even close. [*]
