Pre-sales for The Lion King at my theater on Thursday:

2D Spanish Ver: 408 (+151) tickets

2D English Ver with Spanish Subs: 250 (+104) tickets

Total: 658 (+258) tickets sold (D-0)

Tickets sold at 0AM the day of release (Friday) with a lot more showings than TLK:

- Aladdin sold 379 tickets

- Dumbo sold 153 tickets

- Toy Story 4 sold 485 tickets

- Spiderman FFH sold 663 tickets

Comps are looking amazing for The Lion King. Same level as Spiderman for a Thursday and doing so much better than the other Disney released films this year. My prediction is €1.25M OD and €6M OW for a total of €7.25M through the 4 days

The Lion King - Final OD presales

2,452 tickets / 6,770 total = 36.22% (1 sellout / 15 showtimes)

Far from home OD presales (Friday):

2,235 tickets / 8,020 = 27.87%

Endgame, which opened on Thursday too:

6,949 / 7,156 = 97.11%

TLK is a 35.29% of EG's OD presales. Obviously, we can not asume the same walk ups for both films. EG had sold nearly every ticket during presales. The gap will narrow along the day.

@ScareLol I think you can be quite accurate with the €1.25m OD prediction. I do not know why I had asumed that EG had done €3m during Thursday, when it did €2m.

If Aladdin has been able to match the admissions figure of the orignal (4.1 million), I do not see any reason to think TLK can not do the same (6.3 million). That would mean to round €40m (about $45m). I know it is too early, but the hype is real.
