My favorite performance of his is probably Boogie Nights. He's so hilarious and brings a realness to the part that nobody else could. But I've loved him in everything I've seen him in.

I just watched that movie, and even though his screentime is minuscule he still left an impression.

His best performance, to my mind is in Synecdoche, New York.

I'm about 80 minutes into Doubt, and goddamn is PSH good in this movie.

You know, I think The Hoff is definitely one of the best actors out there. But there are two reasons I don't like him y'all (pull over the car or, bounce on the devil, put the pedal to the floor). Alright, focus Don! 2 reasons though:

 

1. He had them nasty ass feet in Red Dragon.

 

2. And the way he callously left Charlie to burn while he was hiding in big daddy's pocket.

 

Still a terrific actor though.
