Founder / Operator Shawn Robbins Posted February 27, 2014 Founder / Operator Share Posted February 27, 2014 (edited) I think Leo has a pretty strong shot, personally. This feels like a year where Academy voters are going to vote based on perceptions of being "overdue" (not just in this category, either). Leo's gotten a hard push over the past month, too. Stronger than Matthew's, I'd argue. I think MM has the slightly stronger odds, but my official prediction will be probably be Leo. filmscholar
The biggest thing going for Leo to me is the Academy may want to honor the Leo/Scorsese union. Yes "Departed" won but Leo didn't. We don't know if this is their last film. Scorsese won't direct forever.
The Futurist
The Interstellar dude has it in shoe box already. Leo won't win because he is basically living the life of the character he portrays in Wolf of Wall Street without realizing it. Perspective Léo, ask around you, they ll tell you are a very talented spoiled brat.
