Monkey Man was acquired by Uni for just $10m, so if it opens to like $15m it should still be in the black before long, and should have a solid life on streaming. I do wish it could’ve done more but if casual moviegoing is a thing of the past like @Cmasterclay and @reddevil19 said then fwiw it’s not a bad result for something like this under current circumstances.

Well... We made it. Ten years of CAYOM. Somehow, we outlasted 2.0., if only by a year. Let's drag this belated sh*tshow kicking and screaming through another decade, shall we? No grades for any reviews until after the top 25. This is to allow for some suspense, and also allow me to change my mind on this or that film once I actually grade them. I'm also reading everything in posted order, so if things are off chronologically, that is why. Without further ado, let's get reviewing... The IT provider to Filmstaden's sales channels has been hacked and now all means of selling tickets throughout the chain are currently unavailable, whether online or on-site. If grosses in Sweden end up way down this week this would be why. https://www.filmstaden.se/nyhet/NCG39997/tillfalligt-avbrott-i-filmstadens-forsaljningskanaler

@SLAM! Just want to point out that it’s the wrong title for the Hilda re-release on October 16th. It’s a re-release of the first movie, not the yet-produced sequel. Just want to make that clear to avoid eventual confusion.

I actually think it's the most promising sign we've had that Pixar/WDAS's box office status isn't entirely beyond repair. We now have a movie with some staying power unlike Lightyear and Strange World which both opened poorly and then quickly vanished from theaters. Provided Disney holds off the streaming release for a good while, this could bode better for future releases.
