I would say all of qld for Sunday given we essentially had north (Cowboys) vs south (brisbane - yeah ignoring the Gold Coast in this ATM) And what a game it was too. North the winners for first time ever.

And that's a great start for the Martian. Well ahead of gravity which opened to 3.6m 2 years ago on the same weekend. Can TM match gravity's legs as gravity crossed 21m. Interstellar mad it past 20m off a 4.6m OW (but it opened in early nov). A 6m ow with good wom should 20m from here. Any wom close to gravity like what I've heard so far and the question comes. Is 30m possible. For now projecting about 24m.

In Sydney and Brisbane the AFL Grand Final had TV ratings roughly one third of the NRL Grand Final.  It was the reverse in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.  The NRL Grand Final rated roughly one third of the AFL Grand Final.

Australia's one great divide.

Yeah WOM isn't at Gravity level I think yet, but it's definitely very strong!
Just remember gravity legs will see this make around 35m. Hence my early projection of 24m.

Just been looking at chermside and the midnights seem to be selling well for mockingjay part 2. The main vmax is > 50% sold and the gold classes will no doubt sellout. I know only 1 cinema but we are talking over a month out. So good signs so far.

It was only being shown about once or twice a day from Friday to Sunday so it's not a huge failure.

It was only in 3D so it's a pretty poor average.

Let's say it was 5 screenings per screen over the weekend.  That's $102 per screening.  With 3D pricing that's about 6-8 people per screening.
