Jack Nevada
This movie describes the more frustrating aspects of christmas very well. Best of the Vacation-movies, and a movie that holds up on countless viewings9,5/10

CoolioD1
It's probably because I don't like Randy Quaid or Chevy Chase but I don't like this one that much, I can certainly relate to it and some of it is very funny, but it's probably not far from the bottom of my "Christmas movies" list. 75Live
Another of my favorite Christmas movies that is on the list of films I have to see for the holiday. It also has one of my top 5 freak out scenes in a movie. A
BiffMan
My favorite "Vacation" movie and very well done. Also one of Chevy's last solid performances on film.A
Blankments
Some funny stuff in this, but it's not really my humor. Still, I enjoyed it. B+

baumer
So many classics scenes. It's 5AM, I called in sick today and I'm watching this. "And why is the carpet all wet Todd?" "I don't know MARGO!"
Blankments
Christmas Vacation is pretty funny. It doesn't feel dated at all (outside of a prolonged dream sequence set at a pool), which is unusual for 80s comedy. Chevy Chase is hilarious, and the film works by having both funny vignettes and some brick jokes with really great pay-off. It ultimately works though thanks to the heart involved, because even though Clark Griswold is an idiot, his perseverance and clear love for his family makes the audience overlook his obvious flaws. Christmas Vacation is a great comedy that has an excellent laugh-per-scene ratio. A fun way to close off Christmas. B+
