Totally anecdotal but don't discount Jurassic World. I was getting my hair done at someone's house yesterday who has 3 kids from around 9-12 and a commercial for Incredibles 2 came on. I was telling them about how I loved the first one and how I was excited to see the sequel and they hadn't even seen the first Incredibles and were looking more forward to Jurassic World lmao -
I wonder when they will release a trailer for this I honestly think this could be successful. The book has been on top of the NY times best seller list for YA books for over a year

yeah I remember this lol. They spoke like black caricatures right? wikipedia says colin farrell's character....I find that hard to believe though. Burton's films don't have black protagonists in them lol

Forgive me if I'm wrong but didn't Dumbo focus more on the animals though? What's with all these human characters? I think I remember a mouse character and these crow characters...

isn't that Awkwafina' whole schtick. I haven't seen Ocean'8 yet but in the promos it looked like she was doing that as well. I think the film looks good though.

That girl looks so much like her mom lol. They're like twins. As for the trailer Dumbo was one of the only Disney films i didn't grow up watching. I don't think I've ever seen it. It looks really good though. Looks like something the family will enjoy.

This trailer is about to pass the Bumblebee trailer in views on youtube making it the most viewed trailer out of all the new trailers that came out. This could definitely over preform.

Honestly it looks okay. Chazelle is a good director so it will probably be good but I don’t get they the way the trailer was structured as if dramatically building up the question of whether we make it to the moon or not. Foy looked good but her accent was off. Gosling will probably get nominated but i don’t know if his character will be given enough since Neil was such a stoic guy.

Wow.. the tension.. the build up.. what will happen to goslings character? Will he get to the moon or not? That trailer hyped me up so much for this totally unpredictable biopic about a famous whiteman with a worried devoted wife who overcame obstacles to reach his goals. Can’t wait to see this in theatres

mmm Naya might be a good choice for Vanessa. She does need to get her shit together though. Vanessa Hudgens isn't latina but she played Vanessa on stage recently. I wonder if she will be considered. She is often cast in latina roles lol.

yeah this like the opening and closing number is all narration. It would be extremely difficult to translate to film. The show was specifically meant for stage.

I wish Jlo was a better singer but she will definitely be considered for Daniela. I know she is friends with Lin. Rita Moreno for Abuela Claudia is an awesome choice. Hopefully that happens. I will have to hear Oscar Isaac and Gina sing. I don't want to just name random latino actors. Anthony Ramos will def be considered for Usnavi. There is the Lin connection and he just played him on stage not to long ago and he is the right age. He was also great in She's gotta have it. Unless they want a big star. (I can't think of any young, big latino stars who can sing at the moment though which is kind of unfortunate)

I'm saying the complaints wouldn't exist if the design of the dragon was better Y'all don't know how twitter works they just jump on a bandwagon . I saw the original tweet that triggered this and it was kind of a sarcastic jibe on the design of the dragon and how they made sure to emphasize that she was a feminine dragon by making her smaller, lighter and less spiky than Toothless to make sure no one thought Toothless was gay and everyone jumped on the bandwagon and it went from there.

I think the complaints are because of the lazy design of the dragon to make it so FEMININE-like. A lighter, smoother, less spiky toothless lmao.

princess and the frog came out in 2009. not completely un modern lmao. There was also Home with Rihanna I def agree this could break out. Especially because those were targeted more towards girls

yes now that I think of it I remember this in a comic I read actually. He introduced himself as Miles Davis and said he didn't go by that because of the musician lol.

This looks generic to me. I feel like I've seen this story so many times. A talented girl doesn't have the confidence to put herself out there, a guy helps her see how talented she really is.
