Damn, You're right.
Anyway, TLJ did on its seventh weekend $4.25M. TRoS will do something like this on its sixth weekend (maybe closer to $5M). After that, TLJ add $9.3M to its domestic gross. Even if TRoS start to sell more tickets than its predecessor and add $11M, it still will finish somewhere around $512.5M dom.
If U not wrong about $565M OS, ww final gross would be $1.078B.

Yes.
This Thursday Skywalker should be at $497M domestic. With good hold during the weekend it should be at $501.6M on Sunday. With similar legs to The Last Jedi from now on (its MLK weekend wa s 70-72% lower than Episode's VIII, despite the fact TRoS is in cinemas one week short) the movie is going to finish with $511-512.5M domestic.
If I'm correct, it only needs about $568 mln OS to finish at $1.08B. I think it's highly likely.

Fun fact #377
Star Wars fell to the second place for the biggest hits (domestic as well as worldwide) in early 1983 and remain 2nd till early 90s (JP, T2).
Fun fact #390
Star Wars fell to the second place in domestic chart in March 1998 and remain second for over 10 years (!!) till The Dark Knight!

The classic among the classics. The blockbuster. Remember Star Wars?
Star Wars debuted on Wednesday 25th 1977. The movie became unprecedented hit, beating Jaws as the very first movie ever to cross $200 mln in domestic gross. After 422 days (60.3 weeks) the movie stood at $221,280,994 as the highest grossing film of all time! But it wasn't over, because due to its huge popularity, 20th Century Fox advertise it again with new posters and new commercials, adding theaters to unprecedented number of 1644 or 1756 (depending on source) extending Star Wars' initial run till November 7th 1978 (532 days / 76 weeks) when it finishes at $265,055,905!
Later, Star Wars were re-released couple of times, in 1979 (for over three weeks with gross of $22,455,262), in 1981 (for two weeks only with gross of $17,247,363), and 1982 (for 8 weeks with gross of $15,476,285). This is the very first movie ever who crossed $300 million domestically, and the biggest hit of all time since December 1977 till January 13th 1983.
Production Budget: $11 million*
*Some sources claim more, even $13 million.
Marketing costs: N/A
Domestic: $322.74 million [The biggest hit of all time for over 5 years]
Foreign: $190.3 million [The second biggest hit after Jaws]
Worldwide: $513.04 million [The biggest hit of all time 1978-1983 until E.T.]
Of course Star Wars reclaims its domestic title (the second and the last film in history who does that) and became all-time champ again, from February 14th 1997 till March 14th 1998, thanks to Special Edition from 1997.

If avatar was 2020 the 5 billies would be jarring to look at
I don't know about 5 billies, but $3B for sure and easily no. 1 domestic, overseas and worldwide. Shame they postponed it.

My prediction - Top10 worldwide.
1. Fast & Furious 9 - $1.08B [domestic: $200 mln / overseas: $880 mln] - seriously, it is the only 100% sure 1 billion-breaker next year.
2. Mulan - $1.025B [domestic: $175 mln / overseas: $850 mln ~ $350 mln from China]
3. WW84 - $1.015B [domestic: $445 mln / overseas: $570 mln] - it might ends up with $380 mln in US, but I'm optimistic about it
4. Black Widow - $900 mln [domestic: $310 mln / overseas: $590 mln]
5. No Time to Die - $850 mln [domestic: $220 mln / overseas: $630 mln]
6. Minions: The Rise of Skywalker - $825 mln [domestic: $210 mln / overseas: $615 mln]
7. Soul - $780 mln [domestic: $290 mln / overseas: $490 mln]
8. "Some chinese movie" - $750 mln [98% from China]
9. Eternals - $720 mln [domestic: $260 mln / overseas: $460 mln]
10. Top Gun: Maverick - $700 mln [domestic: $205 mln / overseas: $495 mln]
Venom 2 won't cross $600 mln worldwide, I don't know about Tenet, maybe (cause it might have a shot for $250 mln domestic).

It seems both, domestic and overseas, Skywalker is going to finish with max. $550 mln. So $1.1B is max. where it'is heading.
-
$198 mln is from five days, right? 3-day weekend was "only" $142.5 mln?
I acctually don't know if Skywalker will even beat Rogue One's OS numbers! 😮

Seems it will land between TLJ and RO overseas. I think $620 mln is in play, no more.

The Terminator 10/10T2 10/10
Rise of the Machines 7+/10
Salvation 5/10
Genisys 3/10
Well, my prediction was freaking great!
Dark Fate 2/10 - the worst Terminator yet.

Another great number for Toy Story 4, the second biggest jump this Tuesday. With LDW expansion, TS4 is definitely going to finish around $450 mln DOM.

How much OS this can go with this opening? $800M? $900M? $1B possible?
Dom should go for $550-600 mln range.

Great holds for TS4. I hope it can go ofr $440 mln Domestic.

How much it drops in Japan?

Can someone explain me, how Endgame pass Avatar this weekend? The film was at $1.922B OS till the end of June, $1.9246 after July 7th (+around $2 mln during the whole week, previously it was around $6 mln), and than $1.934 after another week with $1.5 mln from the weekend? So, Avengers made $10 million between July 8th-14th and $8,5 mln before the weekend?
Bullshit!! Disney add couple of millions to Endgame OS gross from last week to pass Avatar during ComicCon panel.

The godfather(1972-1976) - ~3 years and 9 months
The Jaws(1976-1978) - 2 years 2 months
Star Wars ANH (1978-1983) - 5 years
E.T (1983-1993) - 10 years and 8 months
Jurassic Park(1993-1998) - 4 years and 5 months
Titanic(1998-2010) - 12 years
Avatar(2010-2019) - 9 years and the half.
Endgame(2019) - ?????
Actually, there are no official dates for most of these record breaking films. Jaws might have been the highest grosing film since June 1978 when Star Wars beaten it (L.A. Times confirms this). Star Wars were number #1 worldwide for at least 4 years and 7 months till E.T.. E.T. was the highest grossing film till Oct 3rd 1993, so max. 10 years and 9 months. Titanic have become number #1 on Febuary 23rd 1998 (JP lost its title after 4 years, 4 months and 19 days) and was the king till Januray 24th 2010 - this is 11 years, 11 months and 2 days.
Avatar was the most successfull movie of all time between Jan 25th 2010 - July 20th 2019, so exactly 9 years, 5 months and 26 days. Only Titanic, E.T. and (maybe) Gone with the Wind were "#1" longer than Avatar.

Terminator 2 3D made $4mn worldwide. I will always watch T2 over Avatar. So if Endgame is able to manage $10mn lead over Avatar, it will be safe.
Ehmmm.. WHAT?
T2 was screwd with its re-released, it was very limited re-release (small number of markets and most of them for one weekend only or one day only) with very pure advertising. They've also didn't manage to release it during the 25th Anniversary of the film.
If Disney will do Avatar re-release, there's no way to going to gross as bad as T2.

The movie suffered from its gigantic success. It debuted in Top15 on IMDb in 1998, but after the whole "biggest box office of all time! 11 Oscars! etc." people started to hate it from silly reasons. Somewhere in 2205 it drooped to 6.9/10 on IMDb, now Titanic has 7.8/10 (very impressive hump after 2012 re-release).
For me, this movie is one of the biggest cinema masterpieces. 4 stars, or 10/10, always maximum grade from me.
