Mid point of my range 🙂 Tiny previews are impossible to predict at times.

Numbers should be there. Just not visible to outsiders. After all tickets were sold and Studio should know the numbers. but there is extrapolation involved and its tough to get it right. But they are not bad for OD unless its a huge breakout.

That released a week earlier and christmas eve fell on the 2nd weekend resulting in big 2nd weekend drop. This is different release cycle.

I cant see it go below 38m. But we will see where things stand tomorrow.

it is considering how big our sample size is. But I have not tracked movies at this level before since I started with Joker. That makes it hard to estimate. you can estimate a 40m previews from movies that has not even hit half that number. If I had tracked Endgame it would have give some perspective. But @Menor did have data for Endgame/TLK and so he was in the best place to estimate though TLK is not a good comparison being a family flick. Now with SW9 numbers, I am confident about predicting previews relatively. Also the sources we have helps on relative basis. Once I have OD numbers its easy to estimate Day 2 and beyond with just relative numbers.

Its not that early. Sometimes they used get early estimates at 7PM PST which is ridiculous. but it can go down for sure.

There were silly posts comparing this to the trainwreck(Justice League) !!!! Even with obvious mixed reception they are not in the same ballpark. I am talking about domestic. OS Its not looking good.

check the weekday thread. I did post an update. Good day for both but F2's weekdays are elevated. I have a feeling increase tomorrow will be muted. I will keep an eye tomorrow.

next 2 weeks are holidays right. so F2 will recover after this weekend.

Its possible as I have said smaller chains are really strong and so MTC1 could under index. But it would be a pleasant surprise. I would take any number above 40m. Sunday drop would be better than TLJ and OD PS is rock solid. I am sure it will hit 50m or even 55m OD(minus previews of course). 10% saturday increase and 15% drop would be enough for 200m OW 🙂 I will refresh OD PS tomorrow morning to see how things are going. We should have @Jedi Jat providing updates and hope even @RthRise checking in sometime tomorrow. I will update OD 3-4 times for sure.

Considering even Spidey was no where near half this number, i dont see BW going that high. . Anyway Let us wait and see. That is more than 4 months away.

Excellent increase for OD tickets. Previews had a good day but its final week finish was weaker than what I thought late last week. I think range for previews is 38-40m and OW around 180-190m. What gives this an advantage is sunday being so close to christmas that it will have a great hold. I will look beyond OW on saturday but it was overall fun tracking such a huge PS seller. i dont think any other movie in 2020 will sell even half this number.

Jumanji down 11% and F2 up 16% from yesterday. Just MTC1.

That is awful. Looking at the line you should have skipped the popcorn and enjoyed the movie. Anyway see it again in Imax along with TENET prologue.

I am not sure about that. these target family. it could have crazy preview to OW multi. Just that its not interesting. But what is interesting is it seems to have strong PS in korea where its opening next week !!!

Update for Cats MTC1 previews - overall 685 shows 11296/62100 I am thinking 0.5-0.6m previews. No point tracking this for OW.

TO me only good comparison is Joker. Other movies are not comparable. But it could be over-performing in phily and that is not surprising. FYI I should have an update soon.

Quick update on SW9 previews. This is about 3 hours after last one. MTC1 Prev - overall 6802 shows 494426/1023251 7215149.27 MTC2 Prev - overall 4199 shows 324066/554210 3969825.00 Trickle of shows are being added as well. Let us see how things go with walk ups. I will update at least MTC1 once in the evening and will update both late in the night. Dont forget unlike normal movies this has preview shows as late as 530AM !!!!

I dont think it makes any difference on way or another. Anyway I like SW movies and I like JJ's movies. So I was anyway planning to see it. Plus I am a Disney Shareholder and so I am not wishing they fail at all. Only that others also succeed. I have also seen the bootleg version online. It does not beat seeing it on big screen anyway.

5x MTC1 numbers would be my guess. Based on anecdotal search at smaller chains, it has sold lots of tickets there as well. But the bumps this week have been meh to put it in a nice way. So something like what Porthos is saying. I would say 38-40m range. I would post my final update at night and can take a guess. Of course Deadline and others should have numbers before that.

Hey Folks, if anyone is seeing SW9 on Liemax please confirm if Tenet Prologue is there. I am bought liemax tickets for saturday just bcos of the prologue. otherwise I would seen it in Dolby or even regular digital 2d.

Dont be silly . its primetime shows have almost sold out or only shitty/special needs seats available . So % increase does not matter when it has sold almost 500K. if you look at Porthos's final update its not as if Endgame increased huge on % basis.
