  1. The only redeeming factor would be that Julian Assange guy said that he is just the middle man Chloe ????? That would be fucking brilliant I would forgive them for everything Also Tony Almeida would be a good one Only 6 epidoes left though
  2. Is anyone still suggesting they haven't jumped the shark ? The nuclear strike in season 6 was documentary compared to this Also Kiefer didn't say anything in serbian he just muttered letters I mean can't he memorize an actual sentence musicians that play over here say it better on concerts than an actor does btw I know this show is pure american nonsense and I love it for it but taking such an obvious attack on people like Assange and Snowden ( through that guy who's obviously meant to be them turning a complete criminal ) really bothers me because its a really low way to attack them as if they haven't been attacked enough already
  3. omg again you guys She knew because 'movie contrived plot convenience' - plain and simple
  4. OMG you guys Are you really trying to rationalize this movie ... just take for what it is or to quote 'let it go Indiana ... let it go'
  5. Cause I'm pompous just like the guy who said its the best thing ever on the previous page
  6. Gravity is the most overrated film in this decade As for it being monumental Bergman, Tarkowski, Kurosawa and Kubrick would disagree but whatever
  7. I am very curious about the legs I mean I know China would do whatever it would do whether or not the movie was good but some of the underwhelming openings in Europe might be saved by some solid multipliers I've got nothing but full on support for this movie ... its probably the only summer movie where I actually care what it makes
  8. It looks like China's opening week will either match or top opening weekend in US Those are both great and bad news btw
  9. I'm still waiting to hear someone who hated it ( someone eligible )
  10. Ah once again I can see that this forum is mostly consisting of comic book fans 1 - once again there's no ending nor beginning here ... no matter how many films in the series there are beforehand a movie needs to have a clear path and resolution 2 - second act is super dull once again Singer slipped into some meandering drama that is really not as gripping or as touching as he thinks it is I mean its a comic book movie we know how it will pan out ... and don't give me that 'its the journey that matters' crap it ain't no journey when characters are at a standstill moping around 3 - whether you like to admit it or not this film is pretty much pointless to non-fans ... I mean why would I care that they 'fixed' the timeline ( which is also a ridiculous notion ... X3 was made it was bad don't try to rectify it just fucking move on ) Jean has got to be the most irritating character of X- Men ever she's just there cause of Wolverine and to prove my point I saw this film now after 15 or so days in the theater so there weren't fans in the audience just casual moviegoers that probably saw most of the movies but they don't really care about them and EVERYONE groaned when she appeared which kinda made me laugh Aside from that there's good stuff in it too as per usual in these movies since they do have an interesting premise to them and the actors are all fine ( even the sleepwalking Jackman ... don't blame the guy though its like his 6th time there's nothing left for him to explore character wise ) I maintain that Edge Of Tomorrow is the best summer movie by far ( I doubt anything of the grimness that's coming up is going to top it ) This is like a 7/10 or so
  11. OMG the most obvious one is the mole I'll watch this show even if it had Jack Bauer sleeping and snoring and turning in his sleep but this is just so incredibly lazy All down to the arms dealer who chooses to kill himself and not negotiate terms which is what you would expect arms dealer to do
  12. Didn't notice her at all ... I associate this actress with her theme song from Sherlock which is fucking amazing so every time I see her I play that melody in my head
  13. lives up to the hype at least to me What I liked about it is everything I dislike about 90 % of the current blockbuster fare 1. Its kept at precise ( one would say 'classic' ) runtime for an action adventure clocking in at 113 minutes 2. There's no George Lucas backstory and plot explaining and characters saying they 'have to do something' but not actually doing so in ages 3. The story is a bit contrived but is presented as it is and doesn't make you question any of it at any time during the movie 4. Actors do a great job. Cruise is still in fine form or should we say ... cruise control 5. ACTION ! Unlike a lot of the recent blockbusters this one doesn't give us boring characters then expect us to be involved in their boring drama while there's no action sequence to bridge the gap. You may have noticed that I have actually counted the minutes of action in movies recently but not here. Wanna know why? Cause there's a lot and I wasn't bored or bothered by it so that I could actually count it. 6. There is no endless stares and conversations or 'will they won't they' stuff... when there are character moments they are earned and not forced upon you. They also do not last as much as they do on soap operas because the movie knows how much time it has and what it wants to achieve with the audience 7. Its just a FUN movie there's no baggage to it whatsoever ... and if you are left there wondering whether or not you are supposed to take any of that remotely seriously the song that starts when the credits roll is gonna leave you with no doubt ... EPIC movie by whoever decided to use it I loled when it started ( not gonna spoil it for anyone ) 8. Effects and all the other tech stuff some people care about is alright IMO ... I saw it in 3D unfortunately I wish I could have seen it in 2D but 3D is fine too 9. oh and another important thing - IT HAS A BEGINNING AND END - there's no 'oh lets tease people if we do good at BO so that we might franchise it' nonsense. Its a self contained story 10. and finally Doug Liman who inexplicably showed some Spielberg or JJ Abrams quality and helmed an entertaining story with interesting premise, frenetic action ( shaky cam stuff all works in here well ) and some old school humor. All in all its sort of a breathe of fresh air in this franchise game Hollywood is playing so hard right now. Compared to TASM2 this is The Godfather. Despite my high grade I want you guys to know that there isn't anything extraordinary about this movie ... its just a damn good time and I don't need or want a sequel ( in a good way ) and I haven't had that in a while so ... 9/10Go see it its a romp !
  14. I don't see the difference between this and season 6 despite the nuke thing ... it feels like a presentation of all the thing we saw on 24 previously its not trying whatsoever to shock us The terrorist family subplot is a carbon copy of the one in season 4 ... CIA mole is either the tech guy who's got the hots for Kate Morgan or Kate herself ( the black guy and Benjamin Bratt are too obvious IMO ) I really expected something better than this I don't know why but I did
  15. Its becoming increasingly ridiculous ... and yes I saw all other seasons hell most of them twice !
  16. Actually FOX have said that if the season is a success they will bring it back for another season ... you gotta understand cable is taking over broadcast tv and all shows are sliding while FOX shows are basically free falling The problem is ... I like it but I'm a huge fan ... it aint quite as gripping as it was back during the prime seasons I really thought they would avoid repeating themselves with redundant drama that drowned the series in seasons 6 7 and 8 when it started repeating like crazy but they still got that problem
  17. Also it aint getting renewed It premiered to 2.6 rating and the fourth episode only got 1.7 ... that's not enough and even if it was its still gonna decline
  18. Yeah here comes the stuff I don't care about ... terrorist personal issues and dramas. I thought they would fix that with the new season but apparently not. Are they gonna jump a few hours soon or what cause its been 4 episodes and it still feels like a regular 24 season
  19. And lol at the comments on the first page
  20. Chris Evans was rather good ... I've seen american actors in asian films before and its mostly not a good mix its like they don't interract well with directors but Evans worked really well here and he has a 5 minute monologue scene in which he really nailed it big time There's other stuff I liked but its all plot related so I won't spoil it for you I know that this might not sit well with some western audience who are used to character explaining the plot in these kind of films but screw them Also it was made for 40 mil and it did mega business in South Korea and elsewhere so the total is already at 80 so its kinda in the clear numbers wise
  21. Believe the hype and go in unprepared like I did ! Heck of a movie I particularly like that despite having mainstream hollywood actors it doesn't go for the hollywood nonsense ... there is no endless back story, the fights are real, characters are fully formed from the get go, rated R, always keeps you invested and interested. I love asian cinema so I maybe open to this a bit more but I fully stand behind this movie and I think its fuckin great preferences aside. 9/10 go see it
  22. I like the new season but I'm a massive fan so its not really telling much I do wonder if they are gonna speed up the proceedings a bit like they promised cause so far it feels just like another 24 episode season and I kinda wanted some of the subplots that they are developing gone ( terrorist daughter and her husband, Heller's disease etc ) Otherwise welcome back Jack ... your serbian is hilariously bad
  23. Well that cliffhanger was so totally random last minute ' we didn't know if we were gonna get renewed so we didn't have anything particular in mind for the ending' but I guess it works Its either the senator from the jail orchestrating it or it has something to do with Castle's dad
  24. They got season 7 which is undoubtedly going to be the last one Since they got the senator which was really great to watch they will probably focus on Castle's dad continuous storyline and wrapping that up along with the marriage thing I do suspect that the senator will be back for one more episode during trial or something like that
