  1. Well thanks man those are my impressions of you aswell Regarding SM I would also just like to point out a few things in general I have a problem with 1. I'm just not sold on the villains and I am quite frankly bored of the 'oh he's just a tragic figure and victim of circumstances' thing they got going on the loop here factoring in copy pasted accidents that make em 'bad' ... I mean like I said I'm not a fan but I find it hard to believe that its like that in the comics too I mean people would get bored and stop reading them. They could start a movie introducing the villain instead of the hero we already know. 2. These movies always cater to some very cheap drama instead of action ... there are parts where they really drag on and there wasn't a single battle or action sequence in em that lasted for more than 8 minutes or so ( they are usually 4-6 and only 3 or 4 of them in the movie in total ). Now don't get me wrong I'm not saying that its all about the action but come on Spiderman ain't Nolan's Batman they just can't built genuine tension like that but why not lift off from say Spielberg or Abrams a bit ... those guys would never let their blockbusters go for 40 minutes without any ( mostly deserved ) action sequence happening. 3. Finally these movies are too damn long they need to keep them at around 120 minute mark ... Raimi kept it tighter first 2 times around I've said my piece
  2. I don't think you personally attacked me or anything like that . I just want to say from a perspective of someone who truly disliked the film for the most part ( a 3/10 DOES mean I found some good things in it even if there were too few of them ) that as an audience member who also never read Spiderman and never cared about any of these characters on a personal level all I wanted from this film was to entertain me like say Winter Soldier did and I didn't get that precisely because of the stuff you mentioned above If those things are not what the movie should be judged by I don't know what is
  3. I'm glad us international members managed to lower the expectations for you guys so you ended up liking it in the end looking forward to see how much most of you will lower your grades in the time to come
  4. Give it a rest it ain't like watching a pirated version of Avatar Also cameras evolved nowadays the quality on some of those pirated copies ( like the one I watched ) is top notch And finally I had zero interest in Thor 2 so I saw it on my computer few months after it was released ... I thought it was passable entertainment since I expected something worse I was marginally pleased so you CAN like a film you saw a pirated version of
  5. Hey I've been to Zadar only briefly though but still its a beautiful city ... though it was kinda dead but I guess that was to be expected since it was not a tourist season As for the after credits scene can't help you with that sorry since I saw a cam version on my computer (refused to pay it for it in the theater ) but since that scene was a part of this movie's unneccessesary existence I can only imagine it being as bad as the rest of it
  6. Basically, its a silly scene cause they had to tone it down for the PG-13 rating Also, since she just bumps her head instead of getting splattered they might as well should've done 'the final words' scene which would be rather in the tone of the movie but they wasted that opportunity too
  7. omg this movie where to fuckin begin my expose First off the this film is ill disciplined. Once again there's no real beginning and as far as the end is concerned yeah everything you heard about it is right it cuts in the Smaug style but actually given the cheesy nature of Spiderman and the fact that I was prepared for this film neither to have a proper start nor finish, like so many franchise SH movies these days, so I wasn't bothered by it that much knowing beforehand how it will play out. I would also like to suggest to filmmakers making these movies aka studio committee to look at another franchise that's been running for 51 years now with a certain british agent in it that manages to have self contained stories with beginnings and endings. I would also like to tell you guys reading this that haven't seen the movie - people that tell you its action packed are WRONG or DELUSIONAL take your pick once you see it. I watched it at home right and I actually have the movie on my computer so I'll break it down in numbers for ya. in the first 105 minutes of the movie there is around 10 minutes of total action - as in action sequences ( ! ). I shit you not. Whoever cut those trailers gave away each and every action frame from the entire movie ( ! ). Also - the entire movie is in the trailers there is virtually nothing to actually see that's not in it. Nothing ! It is spectacularly spoiled beforehand. O track back on my math regarding 'action' there is around 18-20 minutes of total action in this 140 minute movie. If you exclude the opening fight with the bodyguard on the plane and the subsequent fall, breaking out electro and breaking into oscorp, and the final rhino confrontation ( I can't say fight because like you already all know it doesn't actually happen ) there are only 3 action set pieces that last for about 4-6 minutes each. So once again you can have your Spiderman movie as a melodrama instead of an action adventure. I mean I'm sorry call me immature all you want but when I watch this kids stuff I wanna be entertained - Winter Solider did it so there's no excuse for this to not do it. The story - contrived beyond belief and utterly incidental. Has no organic structure to it it just goes all over the place trying to tie up some strands and creating far move of them for next installments so it once again feels like you're watching a television series instead of a movie. Character - oh boy ! Electro is all sorts of wrong. First off I don't care about the comics so you can stop ( if you wanted to ) explaining how he's supposed to be like that. Jamie Foxx picked up the easiest paycheck in his career ever - hands down. Every bit of his character or his story arc is incidental and he is also not in it for a long time nor is he interesting at any point and not to mention the repetetiveness of another SM villain becoming what he is I mean its just uninspired in every way possible. Harry Osborn was fucking great. What a decent bloke! I mean he's abandoned as a child from his father, he finds out that he has a terrible illness that will kill him soon and to top it all off they sack him from the company. Sheeeesh that's a rough week he had right there - can't blame the guy for wanting to live right ? Also unlike Foxx the actor took his character that was also kinda randomly written without a clear idea what's he like and made it work. So bravo for him to succeed in this movie full of fails. Spiderman hmself was a total douche and I just cannot root for such a douchey character. Example - in the beginning he can stop Rhino's truck but oh no he makes jokes and flies around while this guy drives his truck through cars and inevitably people in those cars but hey they are not meant to be cared for so I won't either right. Garfield is a good actor otherwise but here he just doesn't fully work and I can't blame the guy. Emma Stone is there being Emma Stone and cute and smart. I've no problem with that she was ok.Rhino - barely in the movie but PG plays it in full camp mode so I guess he knows what's the deal here. Effects were good I guess except when Electro was involved in them - then they got video game-like and when I see that on my computer from a cam version of the movie I know you guys saw it too in the cinema. All in all its 6 am here I'm tired and I just can't write about this movie's flaws anymore so I'll give it a grade 3/10 Also Gwen's death might be a bit of a shocker but after Peter kept seeing her dad everywhere judging him and even appearing in the scene where she was gonna get killed it was kinda obvious something was about to go down. bring on the 6 villains thing its gonna be one big clusterfuck if this one was any indication
  8. I know I've said I'm not gonna watch but I just cant study all night so I'm downloading it now ( sue me ) and will watch it in a couple of hours on my computer I saw Thor 2 on my computer and I expected crap and it actually was passable entertainment to me
  9. There are different opinions on this movie Mine is - I was mesmerizedThere are flaws in it but its just so visually arresting I really can't say 'I would've done this or that' its just the way it is and the way it should be I guess
  10. What you just described doesn't justify 150 minutes unless action sequences are like 90 minutes of the entire runtime
  11. Also just like with Fast 6 the entire movie is in the trailer in chronological order !
  12. Pretty great watched it like 10 + times and its always entertaining
  13. Why was this movie called Winter Soldier ? Seriously where the fuck was he ? I haven't seen the Agents of Shield show ( looks bad to me ) but I assume this is what season finale on that show would feel like ... everything is introduced and nothing whatsoever is resolved Also Marvel really needs to grow some balls because the 'deaths' in these movies are becoming unintentionally funny because nobody fucking dies ! except for Robert Redford character ... as far as I can tell they even kept the main solider villain guy alive ( not the winter soldier the other one ) There was however good stuff and it was in the majority ... the plot was allright and the actors were allright too ... VAST improvement over the first movie ... the tone is consistent throughout it doesn't take a dive in the second half like the first movie did ... kept me entertained and somewhat engaged till the end ( if you can call that end ) all in all it was allright ... but these movies are not real movies I must express that ... they don't have neither the beginning nor the end, which is what actual movies have 7/10
  14. Meh there's too much plot going on in here and none of it is particularly engaging and is certainly not a reason I want to see a JASON STATHAM ( said in a Jason Statham voice ) movie for Also, the fight with the villain in the end ... or better yet lack of it bugged me disposable fun 6/10
  15. I liked the rabbit trap thing even though it was a bit heavy handed
  16. I liked the finale but unless creators think that the audience is not very smart there are no uncertainties as far as the story goes IMO They are cannibals. Tyrese and Carol will probably take the same approach as Rick and will find his bag where they will deduce that Terminus is not a safe place because why wouldn't Rick go back to get those guns. They'll bust them out somehow. I mean I don't hold it as a fault or anything but they really didn't leave me with questions how or why
  17. I saw it and I liked it but to put it as simple as I can good movie GREAT performances oh and the butterfly scene was really beautiful because I expected the grittiness of the movie to play throughout so when they went into that kind of metaphorical stuff (Leto's character dying at the moment when caterpillars all turned into butterflies ) I was touched a bit overall 8/10 Leto did helluva job and while MM was great too .... his performance wasn't the best of the year sorry academy
  18. This show has this way of totally boring you and you going 'why am I bothering with this ? ' and then they hit you hard with an episode like this well done that was quite an emotional hour on television
  19. Why hate on Anderson he's allright Not a major fan of his but I do enjoy his work
  20. Great episode last night ... finally we got back on the senator storyline btw in not so good news ratings dropped and the show has been hitting lows for the past 3 weeks ... I think its because up till last night they were really getting stale with the cases Hopefully it gets back up cause the show was in medium range ratings wise even before the dip... we won't be getting much more of it if it doesn't go up
  21. My FB page is too annoying right now with all the Leo posts I am actually starting to get irritated by this internet nonsense ... I can only imagine how he feels about it too
  22. Your point is non existent From my post and few others in this thread it is evident that we were entertained ( although it seems wrong to use that term with this film ... invested is better ) and you saying 'its just a boring film' doesn't really make all the people that think otherwise ( and there are people that think otherwise you just have to concede with that ) go 'yeah it really is boring ' just cause you say so This film deserves more IMO
