  1. what does the venom emoji even mean? i’m lost.
  2. Overwhelming and meaningless to the same degree. It's like the last few episodes of a season before the finale, where every story thread start to come together, colliding with each other, but none is actually resolved. Nothing happens despite bombarding us with action and plot. Nothing matters because it's just half a movie. Infinity War is 100% product 0% art. Silvestri work is indeed terrific and adds, at times, a bit of emotional depth where there was none. Hemsworth delivers for a potentially emotionally affecting scene, but the Russos can't frame/shoot/edit to save their lives, so that's ruined too. That's pretty much the only nice things I have to say about this movie, which is merely a 160 minutes teaser for the culmination of this soulless, corporate garbage franchise. 2/10
  3. Just rewatched the 2015 Cinderella. Still pretty cute and sweet.
  4. He’s a keeper for sure. Don’t ever let him go.
  5. Not nearly the snoozer I thought it would be, but also nothing more than I expected given the people involved. It’s efficient. Streep is absolutely amazing in that phone call scene; probably the moment that earned her the nomination.
  6. People sure are bending backwards trying to justify this deal. More competition in streaming? Please. Are we really equating the health of an industry to a lesser form of seeing movies?
  7. 🤷🏻‍♂️ I thought it was nice and the only moments where the movie engaged me. Cooke and Sheridan surely had plenty of chemistry together.
  8. Already finished it. Got a bit bored after they went to Norway, but otherwise it’s an ok enough flick. Didn’t mind the white man finds love & purpose & pesperctive turn it took.
  9. Laura Dern is soooooo good in her 2 minutes in Downsizing. Can someone make a comedy with that character? Thanks.
  10. People clapped at the end which surprised me a ton considering this is not a fanboy heavy film. Badass ending.
  11. It’s a little thin, but well executed. Good time at the movies. 7/10
  12. Disappointing that Spielberg didn’t make gamers the villains like they are in real life. Sorrento pop culture hater bad. Halliday awkward nerd worth worshipping good. I guess not all corporate dudes are created the same. Did I mention the protagonist, the hero of the story, self-titles himself a fanboy? Only thing that works in this dreck of a movie is the romantic relationship between Samantha and Wade. Movie is really, really bad & no good. Easily one the worst Spielbergs. 3/10
  13. Also, I agree with @ddddeeee, Silvestri work is terrific. Probably the be the best blockbuster music in a while.
  14. Disappointing that Spielberg didn’t make gamers the villains like they are in real life.
  15. Gotta say, don’t think there is a better looking superhero film than this one. I rewatched it yesterday and like every other shot gave me goosebumps. Compare this to the dull looking, amateurly shot superhero movies released lately; it’s not a fair fight. Also, movie is still satisfying as hell, although I do think the editing is rough as fuck in some places (see the airplane or imploding football field setpieces). Nolan should have ditched his usual collaborator a long, long time ago.
