  1. Hoping for good performance for Muppets Most Wanted Agree! I sometimes go to movies alone as well even for romantic and animated movies It's kinda awkward to watch romantic movies when you're alone and you're surrounded with couples though but if the movie is interesting you just wouldn't care anymore
  2. (and no, I don't consider Melissa McCarthy a rom-com lead, she's more of a straight comedy actress) Agree, she didn't have love interests in Identity Thief and The Heat. She's really a comedian *** On topic, there is just no appealing female star to headline a romcom these days. No Meg Ryan or Julia Roberts Katherine Heigl briefly almost became one though I think romcom will find its way back again in the box office. And yes Crazy, Stupid, Love was my last favorite US romcom although that's not the typical boy-meets-girl romcom

  5. Agree, The Muppets was profitable in the end but I was really expecting a 100M finish with that marketing, reviews and holiday legs. This sequel won't really do well I'm afraid
  6. Here in the Philippines Disney-Columbia distributed like all previous Dreamworks live action movies
  7. Yes for Mr. Peabody & Sherman! I think Muppets Most Wanted will not hurt it next week (unfortunately I don't Muppets will earn that much) I hope Veronica Mars sneaks in the top 10
  8. too much competition? Well it's a contender now for next year
  9. It's the pilot's content really. Maybe the show got really better as it progresses but the pilot was definitely polarizing Anyway, reading the comments section of any Girls review or article about Lena is so messed up with passionate hating and supporting for her
  10. it had good holds before this week but still this is a good box office run for LEGO, never expected it go beyond 200M to be honest
  11. Girls has this passionate online fanbase. I remember tweeting about how low rated Girls is and I got attacked by a fan who probably spends his time searching tweets about the show and Lena. I've only seen Girls' pilot and I didn't like so never watched again, not my kind of show. I don't think it's a comedy even a dark comedy at that. They only classified it as such because its half hour long I guess To be fair though with how much male-driven Hollywood is, Lena is quite unique to standout since she's directing/producing/writing a show a lot of critics respect.
  12. There's still a lot of abs for all the girls to enjoy
  13. Hoping for good legs for Mr. Peabody & Sherman but Muppets 2 and Rio 2 are coming. What a tight scheduling for children's movies this first quarter but summer will only have Dragon 2 and Planes 2
  14. ^ the last part of the movie screamed "sequel!' anyway but too bad on the next installment
  15. I agree as well. This is like G.I Joe 2 last year. Many people wrote it off when it was delayed from June 2012 to March 2013 but it still did well on a new date.
  16. I'm really impressed with Monuments Men's performance. I never thought it would earn that much since I didn't find the premise mainstream-appealing
  17. Boobs are scarier for them. It's really silly that they put the R-16 but still do that. I mean let's face it those 16 and 17 year olds are no longer innocent lol
  18. It's really disappointing they cut out that scene lol
