  1. That;s true although I'm surprised too since I didn't find Monuments Men appealing to mainstream based on its trailer
  2. Are you part Filipino? I was surprised with the "pare" Yeah maybe sometime this year,my officemates have been planning to do it and they want to sing Let It Go while they skate lol

  4. For me what made Twilight popular is not really about the vampires but the love story, hate him or love him the way Edward was written really made girls fall over him. Anyway, very happy LEGO movie is gonna do well
  5. Well Labor Day was a potential Oscar player so the critics are more vicious. It was really a weird decision to release it wide, I didn't see a commercial appeal for that one. And just $8M budget for That Awkward Moment is good for the studio because it will won't lose money even it falls hard next weekend
  6. agree, the movie for me is still generally dull but the the action setpieces were amazing so the Oscar nomination for visual effects is well deserved
  7. Star Cinema reports that Bride for Rent already earned more than 200M. I hope we get BOM's numbers for it next week. It's the true #1 for the last two weekends, it had long lines in theaters and was shown in 2 screens. Anyway, great start for 2014 that we have a bix box office hit already. 47 Ronin also did well here
  8. Looking good for Frozen! Speaking of Alladin, I finally found a copy in video stores albeit a VCD copy but still good enough for me. I will show it to my 5-year old nephew
  9. 59 52 Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters Fox $4,494 -47.8% 16 -8 $281 $68,558,662 $90 25 It still in theaters!
  10. Nikki Finke ‏@NikkiFinke 3m Weekend Box Office: Finishing (actually flopping) #6 is 'I Frankenstein' with only $8.2M. LGate insists minimal exposure.
  11. Nikki Finke ‏@NikkiFinke 8m Wkd Box Office: #2 'Lone Survivor' $12M/$93.1M cume, #3 'Nut Job' $11.4M/$39.4M, #4 'Jack Ryan' $9M/$30.4M, #5 'Frozen' $8.5M/$347.3M
  12. Nikki Finke ‏@NikkiFinke 16m Wkd Box Office: Universal 'Ride Along' again easy #1 with $21M (-50). Cume 75.2M. Audiences starving for comedy.
  13. That's the magic of movies! I remember getting emotional after watching 2011's Winnie The Pooh lol
  14. Labor Day is gonna tank hard, surprised it will get that much screens I thought it will be like Oldboy last time. Speaking of busted Oscar movies, looks like The Book Thief's box office run is pretty much done. Looks expensive to just earn $20M
  15. Agree, the sequel has the direct-to-video feel to it
  16. I hope January will eventually get rid of its dumping ground image, I really believe movies can open big any month with the right material and marketing
  17. THIS. That's what I miss too, yeah she is never accurate but it fuels discussion at least
