  1. right now is the time where I would totally see an alternative animated movie like Emoji for discount Tuesday $6.00 on a hot summer night at 10pm. Just CANT though. WONT!
  2. heavy drops for Monday after a bad Sunday. I guess Christmas is cancelled after all.
  3. Dunkirk - 16.5% Emoji - 15.1% Atomic Blonde - 11.3% Girls Trip - 10.9% Spider-Man - 8.1%
  4. @slambros Have you been following the Faith based films since around 2014 when Heaven was release. If so, have you been ranking them? Care to share? Any opinions on any of the BO performances from some of these movies??http://www.boxofficemojo.com/genres/chart/?id=christian.htm&sort=date&order=DESC&p=.htm Here is a list of some of them I noticed when following the box office. The Case for Christ The Shack The Resurrection of Gavin Stone God's Not Dead 2 Miracles from Heaven The Young Messiah Risen The Letters Woodlawn Captive 90 Minutes from Heaven War Room Faith of Our Fathers Little Boy Do You Believe? Left Behind The Identical Persecuted Mom's Night Out Heaven is For Real God's Not Dead Son of God ...but of course I am also thinking along the lines of Noah and Exodus. Am I leaving any out that were not from the BOM link?
  5. I am pretty disappointed they moved Polaroid. It looked scary and I thought it was going to be a good hit. I thought it was stupid they pulled Amityville. That would have probably made decent money. They should have had Valerian and Alien in August....both with IMAX. Maybe the studios should employ other people to decide the scheduling.
  6. Part A: 1. no 2. no 3. yes 4. yes 5. three 6. no 7. yes 8. yes 9. yes 10. yes 11. yes 12. no 13. yes 14. no 15. yes. they will cease to exist. Part B: 1. 18,741,414 2. 57.06 3. 2,225 Part C: 2. Dark Tower 4. Emoji 7. Atomic 10. Despicable 12. Baby D 15. Inconvenient

  8. I do not know much about this but I am disappointed with It. If i remember correctly, Spider-Man homecoming had about the same # as Star Wars. Also, It set the record for most trailer views in a 24 hour period beating Star Wars and Fifty Shades of Grey. Therefore It should be having at least 1 million, right? Especially with social media. Hmmm, good # for Kidnap.
  9. I think I am going to see A Ghost Story tomorrow morning early bird before it gets dropped! I assume I will love it and I will have to expand my signature to a top 10 of the year after seeing it.
  10. you or @JJ-8 do not have to make a table if you do not want. I already made the handy chart you can copy and paste. It is just my Microsoft Excel and web browser for whatever reason will not communicate with copy + pasting images. Also, if you can, maybe post the top half of the week 13 sheet showing how part B fared.
  11. I give this an A I was so into watching Charlize kick ass all the way through. My eyes were bulging the entire time. I loved every second of it. Honestly, I had no idea what was going on the entire movie. I never knew who was who. I also do not know much about the Berlin Wall and much about that time period so if I was well read in the subject I might have enjoyed it more. It is like if you understand some physics, then it makes sense in Transformers that the all-spark is hidden under the Hoover Dam because the potential energy of the dam shields the energy output from the all spark (radiant energy). Usually with films like this when I am that into a film but I have no idea what is going on, it slips to a B+ or gets a rewatch with subtitles. But this one gets an A from me. It was rich in European sets and culture. Reminded me a bit of action movies from the 90s. It had that John Wick world building (a little). Remember this was a different time so it cannot be completely contemporary art-house. She is more slow moving than John Wick but you could feel her every move. Every move she made was believable. Her grunts and every hit she took made sense. I bought into all of it. I thought the soundtrack worked well for this. In Baby Driver I did not care much for the soundtrack. Why would he be listening to those songs?? I related so much to that character except for the songs. If i was him it would be like punk rock or metal. Not this particular playlist to show off your skill set to.
  12. Everything is graded. Four people got (15/15) on Part A, and two got (6/6) on Part C. Fancyarcher got 6/6 on Part C along with + 20,000 in Part B to win the weekend. darkelf came in a close second scoring 15/15 on Part A along with +25,000 in Part B. On my computer, Microsoft Excel is not communicating with these forums and I am unable to copy + paste the results. I will not give a list of the totals because I want the full chart pasted on here. I e-mailed @chasmmi and @JJ-8 with the results, so bug them to copy and paste my excel sheet onto here and you can see the results ASAP. Also, please copy + paste the chart for week 12 too. It was never shown. It shows how wrath scored high in part B to make the top 3. Thanks!

  14. I did a ton of examples for homework last week and most tentpole July releases in weekend #2 - #4 had a Saturday around 40-41% weekend total. However there was one that stuck out among the rest. Dawn of the Apes weekend #3 has a Saturday that is 39.90% of the weekend total.
  15. I will most likely use my last pass for this week. Going to have to follow this day by day and do alot of homework. Still, it is too hard. Will prob pass. Unless we want to form a study group...lol!

  17. saw Valerian in 3D. My favorite 3D movie ever! Valerian was a very rich film. Easily my favorite of the year (soon to be surpassed by Star Wars.....maybe Blade Runner (depending on how rich that is))

  19. Just watched this for the first time. Liked it alot. I guess it helps that I have seen Rise 3x and I see comparisons to this (which is part 4!!!)
