  1. @POTUS are you sure TF5 has made 2/3 of its money? it seems like one out of every ten Hollywood movies holds up a little better than epic collapse.
  2. So is the exchange rate between US DOLLAR 6.835?? When is the last time it increased? How often does it change? Is it best for us to look at it before or after exchange rates??? THANK YOU
  3. meh... it i doubt it will show up again until next week. Spur of the moment holidays should get people buying tickets of their phone for The House. I am surprised an animated film for 3D made the top 5 though. Shows traffic must be slow right now.
  4. sounds like it would be wayy more exciting than Ghost in the Shell in IMAX except it is opening against a film made for IMAX. Maybe push Valerian to early August? Or is Dunkirk taking up IMAX on a 10 week contract?
  5. https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/baby_driver 92% audience score. I was expecting lower because Fandango is at 3.5 stars out of 5 right now. Is this film slightly polarizing?
  6. when does the Big Sick go wide? Will the beguiled expand more after this upcoming weekend? how many will the big sick add this weekend?
  7. the last time 4th of July fell on a Tuesday was in 2006 when Superman Returns and Devil Wears Prada opened. Superman Returns opened in 4065 theaters which was one of the top 10 highest theater count openings of that time. Despicable Me 3 just shocked me with that 4500 count. Only one movie is opening next weekend. Spider-man. Back in 2006 during Superman's second weekend only one movie opened. Pirates 2 with 4,133 locations and it still holds #4 on the all time July opening weekends. Warner Brothers has the top 3 slots, but Pirates holds the record for the post July 4th weekend. Wonder Woman almost opened 10M higher than the post Memorial Day weekend record of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. ....the fact that one movie opens next week maybe helps why DM3 is getitng so many theaters.
  8. It probably will drop 15% max. It will probably make most of its money during the afternoon. Looking at comparisons, the Pixar ones dont drop that bad on Thursday the day of a new animated tentpole. Also, looking at comparisons should have Cars 3 dropping 50% for Monday. It would be an excellent Mon/Mon hold. I just don't have enough date to be more accurate. I would like to know if the % of schools out increased alot from Monday to Monday. I figured last Monday was maxxed out so animated movies should start seeing consistent holds for the rest of the summer.
  9. I am going to track Transformers every single day until it hits 150. The only reason why it would not hit 150 is because each year theaters are getting better at fully optimizing screens and getting rid of new releases. Even if it is performing respectable through July, each tentpole + 2 new releases will kill its legs. It is like in December when Passengers, Assassins Creed, and Sing came out on the Wednesday after Rogue One. Passengers got 2 screens per theater and all the stuff from November went bye bye even though they were all making decent averages and could have cashed in extra during the December holiday.
  10. Transformers - Monday night opening to Sun Revenge of the Fallen - Weds to Sunday Dark of the Moon - Tuesday night opening to Sun Age of Extinction - Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon, Tues The Last Knight - Weds to Sunday
  11. @ Rey. Hey if you watch the movie expecting a hidden motivation from the captain, it makes sense during the movie that something might come up.
  12. I read a spoiler post before this movie came out and someone was saying that
  13. It should play well the next 10 days if it keeps its theater count up.
