Just want to point out that Black Panthers Friday is actually UP 4% compared to last week. Guess there was no need to worry about infinity War hurting it haha. Instead it just got double features!

I've always thought warcraft lore could make for a great film series or tv series so honestly I thought the movie was a super poor attempt at making a warcraft movie. The movie was unintentionally hilarious at times though.

Most franchises trend downwards (usually by 3rd installment). As much as I didn't like pirates 5 that much I must admit for a 5th installment it did very well (especially with the worse ER)

I agree that blockbusters in the last decade haven't been up to the quality of the past. Not sure if it's just I've been older and therefore drifted more towards smaller films, or if the blockbusters have just been worse, or if audiences just aren't watching the quality films anymore

Pretty cool that 4 out of the last 5 best directors have been Mexican as well!

Ah yes, catching fires OW. That was certainly an interesting one. Stayed up all night each day. The biggest roller coaster ride ever. "Holy crap those previews, one of the best OWs ever here we come" "Oh no it only hit 158m that's barely above THG, it'll have worse legs, flop here we come" "Oh snap huge weekdays we could see it not do too bad after all" "Oh noooo bigger Thursday drop then we expected" "Oh snap best 2nd Friday after avengers, crazy good drop, ahhhhh 500 billion" And up and down and up and down etc. Etc.

I feel like with Moviepass repeat viewing is definitely a factor. Nowadays most people don't want to pay full price just to see the same movie again. But if you can see however many films you want for only 9.95 a month then ppl might go see it again since it's essentially free

Jumanjis 3rd weekend > OW? Damn I always thought it would break out but never thought by this much! A really crazy run going on. Obviously Jumanji's OW did have christmas eve on sunday that it had to deal with but that certainly doesn't take away it's downright incredible performance
