  1. Conneticut shooting could affect kids in NYC, which is supposed to be huge for The Hobbit.
  2. True, but so much for the media caring about how The Hobbit does this weekend.
  3. I was just thinking that. That's just a crazy coincidence. WOW.
  4. I'm seriously distracted by the school shooting to even think about The Hobbit. I still hope it does over 100M this weekend though.
  5. The Dark Knight Rises debuted at No. 1 on both the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert sales chart, which tracks overall disc sales, and Nielsen’s dedicated Blu-ray Disc sales chart. Debuting at No. 2 was the Dark Knight Trilogy set, which includes Dark Knight Risesas well as 2005’s Batman Begins and 2008’s The Dark Knight. Sony Pictures’ Men in Black 3 slipped to No. 3 on First Alert after debuting the prior week at No. 2, while Walt Disney Studios’Brave finished at No. 4 after topping the chart a week earlier. Rounding out the First Alert top 5 was another Disney title,Finding Nemo, that made its Blu-ray Disc debut last week. On the Blu-ray Disc sales chart, Nemo debuted at No. 3, with Men in Black 3 falling to No. 4 from No. 1 the previous week and Brave slipping to No. 5 from No. 2. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/dark-knight-rises-dominates-home-401828
  6. I missed out on this. Hopefully MI2 injection shows up
  7. Because TDK was the best sequel since The Godfather 2.
  8. Well in a few years, it may be worth more so I'm going to wait it out.
  9. Tarantino is easily one of my favorites as well.
  10. Same here. I don't worship Nolan. The day he makes a bad film I will be the first to say so. TDKR wasn't it.
  11. I agree. However on this forum, if you liked TDKR, you're labeled a Nolanite. Makes no sense to me.
  12. What is a "Nolanite"? Generally, it's assumed to be someone who thinks that Nolan can do no wrong. Who blindly excepts that whatever he does ,or makes is going to be brilliant and a stroke of genius. They are people who believe that Nolan has single-handedly saved the 'Batman' franchise and forever established a precedent that ALL film-makers tasked with the responsibly of helming a CBM must aspire to. He's the man who brought 'realism ' to the CBM genre- the 'Godfather', if you will, to serious CBM production. No longer is cheesy, pandering film-making a norm in the CBM film world, no, Nolan showed the industry , nay the WORLD how it's really done! Realistically let's face it, Nolan has yet to make a stinker. Spielberg, Cameron, Lucas, Ridley Scott, Scorsese, Coppala, etc. they all made less than respectable films- forgettable in the least(however, they all made more). But Nolan, not so. The Following (76% RT) Insomnia (93% RT) Memento (92% RT) Batman Begins (85% RT) The Prestige (76% RT) The Dark Knight (94% RT) Incepcion (86% RT) The Dark Knight Rises (87% RT) Realistically, if you liked all these movies, you will be called a Nolanite. You may not think they are all amazing movies but if you believe not one of those films are "bad", you will be labeled a Nolanite. If this is the case, fuck it. I'm a Nolanite.
  13. The Avengers was a good movie. It's hard to pull of sequels to good movies. Will Avengers 2 be as good? Probably not. Will it make as much money? Probably not.Can The Avengers pull off a good trilogy? We will have to see.Batman Begins was good. TDK was Amazing. TDKR was good. = Great Trilogy.

  16. I liked both series, but I'd be the first to say they were mediocre.
