  1. she eats clay to "purify" her body, she's not the sharpest tool in the shed for sure.
  2. thank you. so that's why ppl were saying it might make more than cap 2, I was very confused lol.
  3. with these DOFP numbers, anyone have any guesses on where it ends ww?
  4. Sorry, I'm new at this, but do those numbers mean DOFP won't end up making money in the end? Or is it too soon to tell?
  5. He really is hideous. He's lucky he's not a woman or no matter how talented (and he is), he wouldn't have landed a single job.
  6. Hobbit didn't get anything, did it? What happened with the LOTR series? I was under the impression that ROTK basically sweeping everything was because the third one was so good and because the other two were great as well and they were just waiting until the third to give it awards. Think the same could happen with The Hobbit, given the rocky reception? Yep. I haven't seen SLP so I have no opinion but it landed every major category when many people didn't expect it to get them all and I imagine that's down to him and his ability to push things.
  7. I want to know how many babies Weinstein sacrifices every night to maintain the level of power he has in HW.
  8. I don't understand how Bettman still has his job. That's what, three lockouts under him? And I have very little patience for this when at the end of the day, the players + all the other higher ups will still walk away with millions but the people who work at the bottom of the ladder get screwed over because they can't work for months.
  9. I'm ashamed that it took me until I read the link to get that this wasn't a real post she made.
  10. I knew I should have saved some of the money I spent Xmas shopping on people I barely know so I could spend it at the theater instead (and once again yay for ROTG if it had good numbers).
  11. I know it probably doesn't mean that much at this point but I'm glad ROTG is getting good numbers. I really enjoyed that movie. And as for schools being out - my brother (in high school) had his first day off today, yesterday was his last school day before winter break and it was a half day.
  12. I saw ROTG with my mom for her birthday and enjoyed it a lot. But Wreck-It-Ralph was still my favorite animated movie this year, it's so good.
  13. I dunno how long we're supposed to wait for JGL to "have a career" before we can start saying we think he's talented because he's been working since he was like 12 and most of those films are at the very least solid and at best pretty damn good. And I say this as someone who's not fond of him personally because he can come off as a hipster douche a lot. Doesn't mean he doesn't have talent.
  14. I saw Lawless and really loved it. I'm still bummed the closest Avengers showing is half an hour away though, would have loved to see it again this weekend
  15. My brother's in high school and they started last week. Most schools in this state start in August and go until May (all grades). In CA we used to go to school from September to June but it's different here.
  16. For me Loki has great potential for being a villain but TA didn't deliver on that note as much as I wanted it to. I'd much rather he be messing stuff up because he wants to like a proper god of chaos, not because he wants to rule earth for some baffling reason and he's willing to be someone's lapdog to make it happen. I thought Bane's voice was dumb but it's not any more dumb than the Batman voice and if I can get used to one, I can get used to the other.
  17. People will go back to theaters. I think it's natural to be a little put off right after something like this cause theaters are one of those places you're "supposed" to be safe (even if you never really are, it's just that people convince themselves of it) but theaters are part of our entertainment and escapism. I think they'll recover much, much, much faster than say the airline business because of that. And because it's a whole lot cheaper.
  18. Kenneth Branagh was awesome every second he was on my screen. I could have done without the bikers with wings, though.
  19. A Batman movie with the feel of the animated series or even the Rocksteady Arkham games is my dream, honestly. I don't think I've seen a version of Batman I liked better (or one I feel like the GA would embrace better).
