    Thanks so much for this. I’m in no way looking at A1 and thinking TWOW is disappointing. More of a curiosity to see how long it takes TWOW to fall behind, which, by the looks of things, will be end of week 2.

    With Christmas Eve and Day factored in, I’m ok with that. Monday and Tuesday are both public holiday so the full week should hold really nicely

    Given it’s Christmas this weekend, I think the New Year weekend will be the true test of the legs we’re in for. That said, very curious to see how the upcoming Monday and Tuesday public holidays play out.

    $21.76m opening week $23.6m total, incl. 14/12 previews So it seems Mon-Wed added another $7m.. I’m actually pretty happy with that. Yes, it’s school holidays, but only just starting here in NSW. Bring on the next 5 weeks of holidays 😬😬

    …which will basically fund A5. I mean.. let’s be a real. A1 is so loved and has made 3 billion dollars. A2 will make another 1.5b minimum so the 3,4 and 5 are basically done. Let’s just be real for a second.

    What if… what if this legs it out because of 3D/PLF sessions being the priority? People KNOW that it’s about the experience and they know that Avatar is about the screen, about 3D and experience, so what if limited 3D availability + less of a desire to see in 2D is causing lower numbers in the first instance?

    I HATE how many scenes in TWOW were rehashed from Avatar. For example, the scene with the whale and it “paying for everything”.. ugh soooo cringe.

    I cannot stand Sam Worthington as Jake Sully. He just frustrates me to no end.

    Just got home from my session. It was… good. Visually, it’s flawless. Stunning. Breathtaking. Insert any other word like it. Story-wise…left a bit to desire. Characters - I’m more in love with Neytiri than I thought I could have been and I LOVE her character from the first. That’s all I’ll say for now. I possibly went in skewed by all the review hyperbole/hype, so I think a re-watch is needed for me to have a final say. Will also sleep on it and see how I feel in the morning.
