  1. Looks interesting, still skeptical about it being a hit.
  2. My life support depends on the Martian losing everything, didn't you know?
  3. I agree with that top 3, good job guys. Although 6 is still way too high for the Martian
  4. Putting it in my top 15 was a mistake I deeply regret. It was less overrated then and it seemed like a decent filler choice. Albeit I did see less movies this year (around 75) and wasn't overly impressed overall with the years slate.
  5. At least that dumb Mars fantasy movie didn't win ensemble.
  6. A little sad to see the Big Short go empty handed. At the very least it deserved a win for screenplay.
  7. In no world (or even planet named Mars) is The Martian a worthy best screenplay winner. I hope Jason Bourne and Alien: Covenant bomb for that disgrace of a film.
  8. Thank you for awarding the actual best original screenplay and not the awardsy ones.
  9. I agree with that Mad Max win, it's cinematography hasn't gotten enough love.
  10. I still think Wall Street was the better villain but Kylo was great too.
  11. Nothing too infuriating too far, except for the fact that The Martian is a BP nominee.
  12. ELITE EIGHT (Deadline February 27) Raiders of the Lost Ark vs. Back to the Future Star Wars IV: A New Hope vs. The Godfather The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King vs. The Lion King Jaws vs. Star Wars V: The Empire Strikes Back
  13. NO. NO. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, FUCKING NO. I can kind of understand remaking the animated films into live action ones, sure, I'm not the biggest fan, but whatever. Plus those were classic stories than can be told in a variety of new ways. THIS? ABSOLUTELY NO.
  14. Weird, I really don't have any complaints about this movie. It was incredibly funny, entertaining, and absolutely everything that this movie needed to be. It doesn't go overboard or under board, it's honestly as good of a Deadpool movie as we were going to get. The humor, action, and drama are balanced at the right level (obviously with the meta-humor taking precedent), and there isn't a moment in the film where I became uninterested. It balances the flashbacks and forward moments perfectly, and every side character gets just enough time to shine but not enough to become annoying. For some reason, despite not having a single grievance against the film, I can't get my grade up to an A+, I just didn't love it enough for that. But I still found the film great and would watch it again, it's everything a Deadpool movie should be. A
  15. Fri: 16.2m Sat: 23.5m Sun: 17.6m Weekend - 57.3m (-56.7%) Not a terrible drop given it came off an incredibly bloated opening.
  16. A good number of these films I actually wouldn't mind seeing. That probably means you will all vote for the 5th wave or Zoolander 2.
