  1. If I were doing that Snyder and Bay would have no place near this list. 83 Who Framed Roger Rabbit This movie managed a surprise win in its summer, but honestly despite its impressive box office that is not the reason I am putting it on this list. The reason really has to do with the fact that Disney worked together with many other studios in a way to make this movie featuring characters from everyone's favorite saturday cartoons possible. It featured a combination of live action and animation, something that was not often done in movies nevertheless to this full scale (the only other movie I recall is Mary Poppins). The film also depicted lots of controversial scenes yet still managed to become a runaway success, it is a very remarkable success story for all involved.
  2. I think it's because they were all about setting up the Avengers, so they all felt like they were leading to something. The new after credit scenes don't have that same build to them.
  3. I somehow avoided movie spoilers, but not end credit spoilers.
  4. 84 Spider-Man 2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EvRCBzwV88g Maybe it's a bit questionable that Spider-Man 2 is this low on the list, but the more I thought about it the more I realized it really should go around here. Spider-Man 2 is the sequel to the comic book movie that really started the new superhero craze that is now at its peak, and it was a tremendous success at the box office. It was seen by many as an improvement on its predecessor as well as the last good Spider-Man film by a lot. It set a new standard for comic book sequels in the future and proved their franchisability.
  5. Howard the Duck makes a cameo, it really wasn't worth it in my opinion since I knew it was coming. The cameo in the end credits scene is only good if you don't know it's coming. (Hence about 4 different people in my theater exclaiming loudly multiple times WTF Howard the Duck?!)
  6. A strong, inspirational documentary, with many small tidbits you can take out of it. D'souza should take some notes, this is how it's done. B+
  7. Apes had a good second weekend hold, and then something happened and it collapsed (although it's looking like it'll still have better legs than any of the other big budget blockbusters before it).
  8. 85 Dances With Wolves The movie pulled off a remarkably well run (Well thanks to all of its awards notice as well as word of mouth) and adjusts as Kevin Costner's biggest hit (and unadjusted its the second biggest movie, yet still the biggest out of those he starred in). It's a bit of a shame that his career took a nosedive after the release of Waterworld. This movie however has had a very large cultural influence, inspiring future blockbusters such as Pocahantas and even Avatar with its inspiring plotline.

  10. It's really not, if you like movies you should see it, it's really not boring.
  11. I think Guardians will increase over 12m tomorrow, discount Tuesday has gotten larger since last year and spread into the US a little so I think the bump will be smaller than normal but still there.Thursday and Wednesday should also be smaller than normal drops.I think if the numbers keep going well we are in for a 46-47.5m weekend for Guardians.
  12. I think Rocket's supposed to be a Han Solo type homage and Groot the chewbacca one (although I kind of like Groot more than chewbacca, he has more personality.)
  13. Star-Lord comics and Star-Lord movie are very different things.I do think Chris Pratt is probably the better actor from what I have seen from him so far, he still has to prove himself more but I see more potential in him.
  14. I think it really has to do with the schools that push their fine arts. Sure, some people go into acting without any theater in school, but most screen actors got stage experience before. From what I know whites make up a very large majority of the theater programs in schools even if the school isn't majorly white.
  15. Will Smith may be on the verge of flopping, both After Earth and Winter's Tale have been big misses for him. It'll be a bit before he completely disappears, but he recently won his razzie and may be heading down the same path as Eddie Murphy. Also Jaden smith is proving to be a bit of a flop, after karate kid the domestic audience has really been rejecting him as a lead.
  16. In 2023 WDAS does the crossover of all crossovers,Avengers and Guardians get sucked into a wormhole and end up in The Star Wars Galaxy.Iron Man v. Darth Vader
  17. I don't think it's a fair comparison given that Han is a classic 35ish year old movie character and Star Lord is like 3 days old.
  18. Exactly, save the better villains for the sequel when the team is already set up and developed, this movie was about forming the Guardians not Ronan.
  19. I think they did have protection though, from what I understood it was like the translators and they had a thin protection that was very temporary. (Like you could see the shield breaking apart)Also that spontaneous combustion in a vacuum probsbly isn't as spontaneous as we think.
  20. Sadly it decreased so much it doesn't even adjust to 200m so I cannot count it as a blockbuster 86 Mrs Doubtfire A blockbuster comedy of massive proportions, it adjusts up to 412m and played out an incredible run. The movie is Chris Columbus' second biggest hit and played a large influence into many future comedic blockbusters that would follow it, as well as the random Mrs Doubtfire 2 that got announced recently (a testament for its staying power in culture). The movie is the height of Robin Williams' star power, which says something given that 18 of his movies adjust to over 100m which shows the amount of pull he had in the day.
  21. 87 Rambo: First Blood Part 2 This movie is the high point of the Rambo franchise box office wise and played a tremendous influence on the action genre (well at least Rambo did, not really this movie particular) with its leading man Sylvester Stallone in one of his most iconic roles to the general audience. This movie is another that really might not be the greatest of films, but it sold and represents the franchise as one of its decades most definitive series of blockbusters.
