I don't think we'll ever see major release in januarary just because of it's post holidays status and big movies will perform better elsewhere. However I could see them placing more of their oscar expansions (or expansions in general) and smaller budget movies that might not have been hits getting placed there.
I had 5/10 on best picture and would have been 6/10 if I had seen Her on time.
But I am voting for Inside Llewyn Davis because it got snubbed at the Oscars.
I'll do my top 100 eventually, but I did realize I am behind on my movie watching so far if I want to make 100 for 2014. I've just been overly busy the past couple weeks.
Plus, I tend to be to busy watching/rewatching Oscar movies in January to care about new releases.
I don't get why they'd waste money advertising it, that movie is going to seem like a rip-off of Fast to the GA and I doubt there will be much interest.
