Yeah pretty good but screens 1 & 2 are 1.85:1 no masking which annoys me - not to mention off-centre seating and the sideways angle of the seating relative to the screen...blergh, so I make sure screenings I go to there are at any other screens. Unless the film is 1.85:1. I also went to the Vue Piccadilly Screen 5 for the first time (the former Apollo) for the 3D midnight on the 23rd., really shitty crowd (wasn't even a 1/4 full, was a group of like 10 foreign students) but god damn I think it's my favourite non IMAX screen in town - amazing stepped seating IMAX style, viewing angle etc... Trailers there - Spy trailer 1, Pitch Perfect 2 trailer 2, Spy trailer 2, Minions trailer 2 3D, Jurassic World trailer 2 3D.

Dammn if the car chase looks so good in B-roll, it must look incredible lensed by Hoytema and 2nd unit in the film.

Better and way more enjoyable second time round, but still messy and weaker than first. Good crowd very much helps. 7.5/10 on second viewing.

Yeah that's the most likely option. Saw the first one a few days ago, surprisingly enough I enjoyed it. Lots of great potential for TST, this could be like Hunger Games in terms of crossover to non-fandom/non-YA auds if the first didn't already have that.

I wonder how involved Ralph Fiennes will be as he's been doing a play for the last two months. I guess most of his scenes have already been shot or will be shot. Yeah most have been shot already in December/January, a couple still left to shoot in London early next month

No, I'm referring to it being overstuffed and inorganic with such things. With BvS/Justice League the lead in will be much more organic I feel.

A very enjoyable, but still, a hot mess. First 2/3 uncannily felt like Exodus - moving from A to B without any dramatic heft at all because ridiculously squashed for runtime - but definitely some very nice character moments. It improves over time and by the time you get to act 3 I was really into it, and the ending was great. Also to contribute to the hot mess - the Iron Man 2 syndrome, wasn't sure how I felt about that aspect but anyway... Real standouts - Renner, Bettany and OLSEN (especially at the end). Banner/Natasha chemistry I really really liked. The character moments in general were fantastic, so much potential that I felt was unused really because of runtime constraints and overstuffing. Also Ultron was pretty good, but yeah too fast origins I have to say... Visually looks better than the first which is a plus, digging the look. Score wise...meh? Bits from first film really took me out, Elfman's stuff sounded really great though. May need a rewatch, in the meantime 7/10 Bring on Civil War. TWS is probably still my favourite MCU film. P.S.
