    People are more restraint in Europe in general. Never had clapping at the end of a movie with the excection of one time, a preview screening of Titanic.

    $15.6m for Hobbit is very good. Should crack $40m for the weekend.

    Prometheus was Lindelof. I kinda agree but i feel there's a lot of that in the TV shows as well. Quality is very subjective. But the fact of the matter is at least the first Trek seemed to have been loved by everyone and their mothers. I dunno if saying Trek was good despite Orci is entirely fair.

    That's what i'm saying. Christmas Day is much bigger compared to other days during BOFA's run relative to what was the case with ROTK. Also, BOFA having better drops / increases is not true for every day. Sunday and Monday come to mind.

    That's not the reason ROTK increased 37% on this Friday. It's because Christmas Day was comparatively weaker.

    Because Christmas Day seems to have been a lot stronger. It will balance out. With a $15m Friday it should make close to $40m for the weekend.

    BOFA will hardly increase anywhere near ROTK's 37% on Friday. Hopefully it's about $15m on Friday, which would be very good.

    Well, the internet is a cesspool of hate and evil. That comment was taken out of context. Who knows how much shit he got from that user. But when a celebrity dares to say something back he/she is like the worst person on the planet. Like i said, he shouldn't have replied, best to say nothing if something gets to you, best to stay away from the internet for one's sanity.

    Puny Canada represents like 10% of NA box office. It probably won't decrease but the increase should be tiny.

    I dunno, the same way some of us were too hasty proclaiming doom & gloom early on, we shouldn't read too much into one day, maybe it drops on Friday.

    I don't get the hate Orci gets. Two films ago the filmmakers were the heroes for bringing back Trek to success. What happened in the meantime? No, Into Darkness wasn't that bad. The only mistake Orci makes is engaging with the internet community. You can't win.

    Like i've been saying a drop under 40% was in store. Thursday should be over $10m, would be disappointing if not. Hopefully closer to $11m but considering it has not been able to match AUJ's 2nd week numbers, might be a tall order.

    It's better than coming off a frigging Sunday. So no, i disagree that the drop is gonna be worse than AUJ's 45%. DOS only dropped 32%. BOFA should drop more but not way above 40%.

    I'd be very surprised if it drops anywhere close to 55%. I'm thinking less than 40%, around 40% at worst. AUJ dropped 45% because the day before was Sunday.

    It doesn't look like a good number, i expected something closer to $11m lol. Coz right now it doesn't seem to be making more than DOS was making on its second week ($9.3m on Christmas Day) as opposed to BOFA's first. BOFA came off a much bigger weekend than DOS's 2nd weekend yet the midweekdays seem to be about the same, it just doesn't make sense. Right now, all's pointing to a harsher 2nd weekend drop than ROTK's. Meh, let's see what it does in the coming days and weekend, maybe it's all gonna work out...
