  1. It's rather impressive how he's kept a career going with arguably only three hits to his name. And he's managed to do it with Cutthroat Island being almost 20 years ago. That should have been career ending.
  2. Given the news aout the size of them, she could probably ignore the Marvel paychecks, too.
  3. Really solid for Lone Survivor, there.
  4. It's possible. Not likely, but possible. Tangled had some amazing legs through January and February. If Frozen does the same, it'll come close.
  5. I just started purchasing blu-rays in the past few weeks. I don't even have a player yet. Wreck-It Ralph The Croods Man of Steel Pacific Rim And on order/pre-order: Bolt Wall-E Frozen (the impetus to start buying, really)
  6. I just watched Convoy a little bit ago. There is no film concept that will ever surprise me from now on. Based on a novelty song takes the cake.
  7. Increase is the key word you missed. TDK: 533M TDKR: 448M Both films grossed over 400 million, but TDKR did not increase over its predecessor.
  8. Battleship was hilarious. I mean, it's terrible, but there have been few movies that have so thoroughly entertained me like that.
  9. Frozen - 6 (so far) Man of Steel - 3 Pacific Rim - 3 Iron Man 3 - 2 Thor: TDW - 2
  10. Yeah. Kimba the White Lion. Originally a comic by Osamu Tezuka (creator of, among many, many other things, Astro Boy) and later a TV cartoon. I'm unsure if a single film version exists, though. It remains a contentious point for anime fans about how much TLK took from Kimba. Such that throughout the later 90s, anything Disney was basically verboten in conversations with anime fans.(I believe, had Tezuka survived to see it, he would have been bothered, but his drawing style cribbed a fair bit from the Disney designs that he probably wouldn't have taken further action.)
  11. Are people trying to tone police Meryl Streep? Is that what I'm reading here?
  12. I started reading the series just after A Storm of Swords was released. So I've had to wait through the long periods for both FoF and DwD's delays. There's other things to read. They'll get done eventually.
  13. Book six is probably 2015. It takes him about 3 years to to write a book. (~1500 manuscript pages and he does about 500 a year). After he finished DwD he took the rest of 2011 off and started working on the next in early 2012. So by the three year reckoning, he should probably finish up around the end of this year. Give it a bit of time for Tor to get through all the production and you'll see it sometime next year. Assuming he keeps the same pace and he can finish the story in seven books (which isn't certain) he could then get the final book out in 2018/19. He'll be 70 or 71, then. As far as the time taken, the story is incredibly complex. He writes at the speed he can while still maintaining the quality of writing that he'd like. If he works faster, the story is very likely to suffer. Also: http://journal.neilgaiman.com/2009/05/entitlement-issues.html
  14. There are several more novels about the same character they could adapt.
  15. God, I'm dying here from the 10 year comment. I'm trying to work and I can't because I'm laughing too hard.
  16. I don't see 400 happening, just yet. But that would be amazing.
