  1. Lol the pie was certainly a stroke of badassery, I'll give you that.
  2. I mean he's cool but he's still so fat that he can barely stand up which eliminates him from badass contention imo. Meanwhile my boy smashes the Tullys at the Goldentooth, captures Riverun, and when he's finally outmaneuvered he goes full yolo at the Whispering Wood. He charged Robb Stark's bodyguard and would have killed him if his sword didn't get caught in the neck of the Karstark dude.
  3. Yeah Feanor went out with a bang too. Wasn't he killed by the lord of Balrogs or something? Plus of course he actually made the Silmarils and had the balls to full on defy the Valar!
  4. Turin's a baller for sure but he never challenged Morgoth 1v1. Fingolfin was the true badass in that book!
  5. Well the Iliad versions would be more handy in a staightup fight but they aren't really badasses, they need gods to walk them through everything...
  6. I still think that it is very good as comicbook films go and great just for sheer entertainment value but definitely not on the level of LOTR
  7. I may have to re-order these a bit but tentatively here is my list: 1. Ser Jaime Lannister from A Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones) 2. Mufasa from The Lion King 3. Gandalf the Grey from The Lord of the Rings 4. Trunks from Dragon Ball Z 5. Achilles from Troy 6. Goku from Dragon Ball Z 7. Hector from Troy 8. William Wallace from Braveheart 9. Prince Oberyn Martell from A Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones) 10. Queen Elsa from Frozen 11. Thor from Thor 12. Darth Vader from Star Wars 13. Maximus from Gladiator 14. Indiana Jones from Indiana Jones 15. Walter White from Breaking Bad 16. Boromir from The Lord of the Rings 17. Spartacus from Spartacus 18. Liam Neeson AKA Bryan Mills from Taken 19. Liam Neeson AKA Aslan from The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe 20. Liam Neeson AKA Michael Collins from Michael Collins
  8. Books: 1. The Goblet of Fire (95) A 2. The Half-Blood Prince (93) A 3. The Chamber of Secrets (89) B+ 4. The Prisoner of Azkaban (88) B+ 5. The Deathly Hallows (87) B 6. The Philosopher's Stone (84) B 7. The Order of the Phoenix (83) B Movies: 1. The Philosopher's Stone (87) B+ 2. The Deathly Hallows Part 2 (87) B+ 3. The Chamber of Secrets (85) B 4. The Half-Blood Prince (85) B 5. The Deathly Hallows Part 1 (84) B 6. The Prisoner of Azkaban (84) B 7. The Goblet of Fire (83) B 8. The Order of the Phoenix (80) B- I guess the moral for the story behind my rankings is that the quality of the whole series was quite consistent for me (the range only encompassed one letter grade) and even if I ranked something relatively lower than usual I still cherish all of the entries. The different directors all brought a unique style to the table and helped to keep the installments fresh and exciting. IMO the books are clearly superior but that does not diminish the achievement of the films in any way.
  9. I thought the entire plot of the movie revolved around the 'Other Women' exacting revenge on Nikolaj's character?
  10. Well, good movie or no, I can't bring myself to watch a film where my boy the Kingslayer is reduced to this
  11. Yeah that surprises me too but I still believe that FotR is a near-lock to win both this round and the next regardless of what happens in the other match-up.
  12. No real reason except that I've convinced myself that Frozen is far superior to pretty much everything
  13. Why all the love for TDK? I mean sure it's a great film but it's still a superhero movie and besides this is Frozen we're talking about here!
  14. Cool my two favorite films of all time are in the semi-finals and I don't have to choose between them yet either The Avengers vs. The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring Frozen vs. The Dark Knight
  15. Well I can't judge it until I've watched it but that said I have absolutely no desire to go and find out because I already saw the same thing back in 2002...
  16. Not too mention as unnecessary as the last installment. They could at least TRY to be original but no they decide to include a villain from the last version of the franchise which is still only seven years old...
  17. For a show centered around Crystal Meth there is actually very little emphasis placed on actual drug use anyway. In fact apart from a few scenes with Jesse there is almost no time spent on the effects it can have, although there are a few consequences for his character that come from his addiction. However, by and large it's much more focused on the business side of things which makes for a far more interesting show.
  18. Talking about other movies like Spiderman, are you crazy? Didn't you get the memo? This "Japan" BO forum topic is now an up to the minute Frozen update/forecast thread
  19. Well it was a little before my time but yeah it achieved a huge cult following and ultimately made over 100 times its budget. Once those musicals hook ya its pretty much a done deal for huge BO numbers. As Rsyu said, it's a little early to be comparing Frozen to that in Japan but I'm still leaving the door open
