Cinderella doing amazing today. DBZ however is barely at Shin-chan's level currently 20k behind Conan and 50k behind Cinderella.

True. It had huge weekend numbers but pretty awful week days. Now the question is whether it will pick up again this weekend.

Right, was a monday: 560K admissions and 700MYen in a day in 9th week of release. A boxoffice history milestone. Tomorrow, in any case, will be an interesting day: on Toho almost all the shows in morning/afternoon for Cindy are near to soldout and also Conan is doing well. Basing only on presales, Cindy could have more admissions than the 2-days OW. We'll see
What are the presale numbers exactly ? Where can you find them theater by theater ?

In Paris AOU had a 55% sunday-monday drop against 30% for TA1. They both did 90k on sunday with this one doing 40k on monday instead of 60k. 2m first week clearly in jeopardy.

TA did over 2 million in 7 days with one bank holiday, not sure this one will do it. It won't beat FF7's first week regardless.

Honestly, I expected nothing from the French market in a long time and this time I really had some hope about it, and when I'm counting on it it disappoints me. In the trash bin!
Except for rare exceptions, there's not much room to expand beyond the 4-4.5 million admissions for superhero movies in France and weariness must be kicking in is all.
Also, as I said, reviews are mixed at best.

OMG the French number..It's a disaster, TA1 got $19m OW..the Exchange Rate can't explain that alone! Most of it but I guess admissions slightly decreased..
What a disappointement! This country, seriously......Thank God other countries performed better.
It will be the first Marvel sequel to decrease in admissions in France compared to the previous one (Capitain America, Iron Man...they all increased).

For french data I found this but it's not official and AOU's numbers exclude premieres (hence the lower OD) and correspond to around 90-92% of admissions because not all chains reported.

Good point. Some competition is good but to such an extent it might be a bit too much for Cinderella. Let's see how the legs do.

Isn't that slightly disappointing for Cinderella ? It stayed flat on sunday and is about 20% below Maleficient at Toho.
Great holds for Conan and FF7. Not as good for DBZ but was expected. Maybe actuals will come in higher again.

1.2B OS is locked for FF8. FF6 made 788M WW while FF7 will gross over 1.4B WW. If the increase was the same as 7 over 6, then the 8 will wind up around 2B WW,
That's not necessarily how it works though. Imo FF8 will be lucky to make as much as FF7.

Which film will be #1 this week-end according to you ? Either Cinderella or Conan imo. It being Cinderella's 2nd week-end means it could drop while Conan usually stays flat or increases a little during GW week-end.
