  1. Ehh, I got a couple giggles. Of course I enjoy Ferrell more than most people.
  2. I mean it was only me and a random family there, so it's hard to gauge, but they didn't seem super enthused. As a comparison, I heard them laugh quite a bit for Ralph Breaks the Internet's trailer.
  3. Allen compares it to Infinity War lmao can't wait to see Potato Head turn into dust.
  4. Well I just got out of Smallfoot and I got the Shazam trailer here. I think outside of a couple of subtle edits though, it's basically the same as the recut trailer.
  5. Just did my first double feature. House w/ Clock was honestly a blast The first 20 minutes are a bit rough, but the rest of the film is so much fun, especially Black and Blanchett. I could watch them bicker for hours. Smallfoot...exists? Had a couple of cute jokes, and the musical numbers were nice, but nothing really extraordinary, and I'll probably forget everything about it tomorrow. Animation's super on point tho And of course, just as I get out of Smallfoot, Fox is acting weird as hell with their schedule. Quite an eventful day if I'm being honest.
  6. https://deadline.com/2018/09/adam-mckays-dick-cheney-project-now-titled-vice-1202473025/ Apparently the first screenings for BR will happen on October 6.
  7. https://deadline.com/2018/09/adam-mckays-dick-cheney-project-now-titled-vice-1202473025/ Now opens wide on Christmas Day, because we definitely needed more wide releases this holiday season
  8. Storks did like $430K (though I think Storks started previews at 7), so this seems like an okay start going to the mid-20s
  9. I've got mild anxiety, and it's gotten to a point where whenever I go to a movie, I'm wasting my time, that I should be doing something else important instead of wasting 2+ hours in a theater. That's why I'm often multitasking when I'm watching something on streaming. There's only so many hours in a day after all. When a movie is 2+ hours, it's even worse, because I feel like I'm wasting even more time. Obviously I can enjoy 2+ hour movies, but typically my anxiety is less annoyed when something is only 100 minutes long or something.
  10. Might as well see it now. You'll be the only person in the theater, so you'll be allowed to riff on it all you want.
  11. The Dream Schedule: December 7: Mary Queen of Scots (limited), Ben is Back (limited) December 14: Alita, Spider-Man, Vice (limited) December 19: Mary Poppins December 21: Aquaman, Bumblebee December 25: On the Basis, Welcome to Marwen, The Mule (limited) January 4: Vice (wide) January 11: Mortal Engines, The Mule (wide) January 18: Holmes and Watson January 26: Second Act Studios, hire me.
  12. Deffo planning on taking my Mom next weekend. This, Bohemian Rhapsody, and Mary Poppins are the only upcoming movies she ever talks about.

  14. Everyone's praising it, and I so want to hear it, but I want to wait until I hear it in the movie...but it's so far away.
  15. Hell Fest 14 1325 1.06% Night School 432 2376 18.18% Smallfoot 182 2074 8.78% Hell Fest comps: 24% of Happy Death Day (6.2M) 18% of Insidious 4 (5.3M) 42% of Winchester (3.9M) 21% of Strangers 2 (2.2M) 8% of A Quiet Place (3.8M) LOL. Probably Happy Death Day is the best comp, since both are originals that came out in the fall. Night School comps: 163% of Bad Moms 2 (27.4M) 174% of Daddy's Home 2 (51.6M) 259% of Pitch Perfect 3 (51.6M) 277% of Life of the Party (49.5M) 280% of Uncle Drew (42.7M) Seems amazing, but my theater is biased towards films like these, so don't expect these 50M+ projections. Still feel confident in the $30M range though. Smallfoot comps: 249% of My Little Pony (22.1M) 51% of Coco (25.9M) 140% of Ferdinand (18.8M) 54% of Peter Rabbit (13.4M) 177% of Sherlock Gnomes (18.7M) 48% of Hotel Transylvania 3 (21.1M) 51% of Christopher Robin (12.5M) 80% of House w/ Clock (21.2M) I had class when the 4PM show started, but around three hours before it started, it didn't have any tickets sold, and I doubt it had a large number of tickets sold when the time came. Anyway, I've been predicting low 20s all week, and these comps largely match up with that idea.
  16. Vice is also expected to go wide on Christmas too. Who knows what the TC will be for stuff like The Favourite, Beale Street, and Ben is Back. Insanity
