  1. Okay, let's get through this as quick as we can. The Flash and its box office potential has been a very contested and controversial topic. It was supposed to be one of the greatest comic book movies ever! It was supposed to be this mega giant hit because of all the cameos! Nobody cares about Michael Keaton as Batman! Ezra Miller is too toxic! Everybody and their cat have their knives out against somebody here. So it's important first and foremost to lead into some ground rules and reaffirmations. 1. Yes, you can be positive or negative on the film's commercial prospects. So long as you don't insult others, condescend to those with a different opinion, etc. If you aren't being respectful to your fellow BOT members, you will see warning points and a possible threadban. No exceptions. 2. To DC fans, please don't take people disliking the film as a personal attack. Critics aren't purposely trying to be negative on the movie, many BOT users don't have an agenda when they say the movie looks bad. Just try to enjoy the ride and have a good time. 3. To DC haters, this isn't going to be an epic bomb or failure. It doesn't cost 200M, Michael Keaton isn't a nobody, people like his Batman, and we're going to get tons of DC movies for years and years to come. There's no need to be doom and gloom and start unnecessary trolling. 4. Fanboy Wars is not allowed unless absolutely necessary (comparing one film's box office to another as an example). We don't need some "Marvel rocks, DC sucks" stuff at any time, and we especially don't need it here. So if you want to do some petty fanboy nonsense, go somewhere else. As I always like to say, if you don't like how this forum's run, there's plenty of other areas to talk about Marvel movies, DC movies, and so on. 5. No spoilers, as per usual. Any spoilers revealed publicly here will result in a threadban. No exceptions. We will have this thread locked until the first preview numbers come in. Thank you.

  4. The only path is to follow in the footsteps of Priyanka Chopra and star in some boring Amazon/Peacock action drama that will cost a fortune to make and nobody will actually watch.

  7. This feels like the setup to a really weird, but hilarious episode of Beavis and Butt-Head.
  8. I don't? Never heard of that account before. This was just something shared in the BOT Telegram chat and I wanted to share it here.
  9. Neat little thread for people to look into if they are interested
  10. Moderation @The Dark Alfred this concern trolling is no longer amusing. If you continue this hyperbole over this movie and its performance any further, you will leave me with no choice but to give you warning points and a potential threadban.
  11. Genuinely baffled how fans put up with all this shoved down their throats. Like this isn't fun. At all.

  13. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/disney-moves-avatar-star-wars-avengers-1235514145/ Dated August 16, 2024. I'm assuming this is theatrical now?
  14. Also not in the Variety article, the next Alien movie is set for August 16. Went from streaming to theatrical I guess. So that's cool. There's also a Rami Malek movie called The Amateur coming November 8. A little surprised The Marvels didn't move, since I believe Dune 2 will make it impossible for that film to get any IMAX screens. Would also think that would help in terms of less competition. But whatever, not my studio. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/disney-moves-avatar-star-wars-avengers-1235514145/
  15. I mean we're never getting another Star Wars movie ever again. Not sure why Disney keeps saying they're making a new one when they never actually get made.
  16. Moderation Not the Disney thread. You guys know this release date specualtion stuff is inappropriate for this thread. I don't know why we have to keep telling you lot this, but anybody who continues this further gets a threadban. I will move the inappropriate posts into the Disney thread.
