    It's original imax run ended on the 11th I thought.

    Looks like Shin-Godzilla is getting imax screens on 8/25 and 9/11. Not sure if it's saying just those two dates or through those dates

    Just curious, do kids movies have lower prices? Seems kinda crazy having different prices.

    Unless Pets tickets were extremely cheaper than Shin-Godzilla, it looks to have won the weekend. Shin-Godzilla has nothing to complain about though... It's been fun watching a Godzilla film(and franchise recently) explode in its home country.

    Do sales go through till midnight on Saturday? Usually sales are dead around 10pm, but wondering if it's different on Saturday. Is Shin-Godzilla still doing good to you? It seems like it's lagging a bit today for whatever reason compared to others.

    For it being a holiday Saturday, sales seem small. It might seem Shin-Godzilla is slowing down, but it gets a huge boost come night time.

    It was surprising to see Shin-Godzilla out gross Jungle Book on its opening day. Shin-Godzilla pulled in about $2.1m.

    I love how Forbes thinks Shin-Godzilla is going to make only $39m total. It looks like it's going to do well over that. @Corpse looking like it has a shot at possibly being at 35m by this weekend's end if my math is right, no?

    I was wondering about Obon. Is it this entire weekend? Can films actually increase from last weekend?

    Good. At first I was like...well that's not good for Godzilla. However it seems like normal drops coming off a discount day.

    I'm assuming Japan has a discount on the 1st of each month? This Monday compared to last Monday(Aug 1st) a number of films arent even close.

    Awesome report! Shin Godzillaaaaa!!!!! Curious about Obon. Does the weekday numbers usually increase or just the weekend for the festival? That starts today correct? So maybe expect good holds today(Monday)?

    Am I seeing this right? Looks like Shin Godzilla just ran away from everything else at the Saturday box office. Shin really explodes as it gets closer to night time. Looks like Kamen Rider will have the best opening out of the new releases.

    Sweeeeet! It's crazy thinking Shin-Godzilla already surpassed Tohos last Godzilla film, Godzilla Final Wars(12m), and Tohos 2001 Godzilla film, GMK(20m), in 2 weeks!
