  1. LOL the pressure is really on for me now (less than two months away omgfilmlover'sgonnabeadad!). Desperately trying to avoid a nervous breakdown right now (especially with all this online drama being rather emotionally draining recently). Heh.
  2. "Today will not be known as Taco Tuesday, but Freedom Friday...but still on a Tuesday!"
  3. Remember when DIB wrote those lengthy epic fan fiction stories? Hehe.
  4. Also, I don't think Apes is going to be insanely frontloaded (at least not by most standard summer franchise blockbusters). Wouldn't be surprised if it stays flat or increases on Saturday.
  5. Wut, last time I checked this thread a few hours ago it was at 26 pages now it's 59? Won't even bother, life's too short.
  6. $4.1M seems solid. Not headed towards a massive breakout but a $65M seems solid.
  7. Seeing this Saturday (in the balcony/restaurant level of the megaplex). It's been almost exactly a month since I've been this excited to go to the movies, can't wait.
  8. ^lol I actually don't think anyone has ever said to me that I look like any celebrity in particular. Which I guess is a compliment lol.
  9. I really loved the show when I saw it a few years ago, and had high hopes for this movie when it was first announced, but it doesn't come close to living up to them. It's not bad by any means, and I certainly enjoyed it well enough, but the end credits sequence is really the only time the movie came alive and what it should've been. Maybe Clint Eastwood was just the wrong director for this. Love the music though (even if the movie barely qualifies as such overall). B-

  11. A live-action Dumbo? Oh lord, now that sounds like "really pushing it." Well, I'm certainly interested to see how it turns out, if nothing else. Ready to see "Pink Elephant on Parade" sequence reproduced in live-action form?
  12. I think I'll stay out of threads like this for a while. It's not helping my "Internet Depression" whenever I come online.
  13. It would have had tragedy not struck.
  14. It's not like August is guaranteed to be a big month either outside of the first weekend (Guardians of the Galaxy will obviously do well and Get on Up could be a force to be reckoned with if it turns out to be of quality and given the slim pickings targeted directly at adults this summer). Again, just very poor scheduling.
  15. I still don't know who in the hell decided these three should be the Independence Day weekend openers. Maleficent never should've moved from this weekend in the first place, it would've had no problem competing with Transformers. Just dismal, dismal, dismal scheduling all around this summer. So the answer to that Summer 2014: What Went Wrong thread is: people just aren't flat out refusing to go to the movies. They just don't want to see these movies. End of story.
  16. I still haven't seen Transformers 4 (and most likely won't even bother at this point). All these arguments over it are so foreign to me.
  17. LOL poor Telemachos. Next he'll be hearing questions about what it was like in the good old days living on the plantation.
