Precisely.
Reminds me, I need to change my profile actually, it's been like this for like a year. There just haven't been any movies I've fawned over recently
You talk about 2019 but Black Panther, Ant Man 2, Infinity War, Han Solo, Incredibles 2, Wreck it Ralph 2 and Mary Poppins 2, that's not a bad line up for 2018...
Rth has legitimate inside numbers. I posted the same thing questioning him when I first joined the forum a few years ago, but it became clear pretty quickly that he knows his stuff. You don't have to believe him but if you stick around on the forum long enough you will realise.

GA also don't seem to care about the things you mention
The Iron Giant
Domestic Total Gross: $23,159,305
TMNT
Domestic Total Gross: $54,149,098
A Nightmare on Elm Street
Domestic Total Gross: $25,504,513
I enjoyed it pretty much consistently throughout the movie. Funny and engaging, all the cast are good. Whoever cast Jack Black as a teenage girl is a smart person and should get a promotion.
I only wish there was more of the real life characters because that teenage girl is smoking hot.
what exactly has happened to superhero movies in China? they seem to have plateaued, while other types of US movies can still score much higher (eg Pirates, Kong, Transformers, Fast and FUrious, XXX, Coco)
This year, all these are sequels:
Spiderman : 116M
GOTG 2: 101M
Thor 3: 112M
Justice League: 104M
Logan: 106M
the drop from Phantom Menace was 30%, that would mean 655M for Last Jedi... which seems achievable, so I don't know what all the fuss is about. it's a great number. I haven't been active on the forum much recently but what numbers were people predicting for it?
I can't see moviepass being viable in the long run if it's essentially buying full price tickets and selling them for less. Compared to subscription schemes here in Europe where they are offered by the cinema itself and therefore there is no loss.
I'm so ecstatic after seeing The Room last night. I just want to see it again lmao. So I definitely haven't just bought tickets to see it again. A ha ha ha
