  1. Well I know that I went to the cinema last night but I've completely forgotten the movie in less than 24 hours. #forgettablr
  2. well looks like it is going over my prediction of 145M so that's kind of a surprise.
  3. Teaser is 80 seconds long. Lobster stuff is 35 seconds long. That's half dude.
  4. I have my ticket for MAN OF STEEL / BVS in an hour but I really can't be bothered to go... it is so much effort to watch these films. But Michael Shannon
  5. Even the day before it releases I still can't see it opening bigger than Deadpool.
  6. well yeah, obviously Jennifer Lawrence is the reason it made that money. no one is denying that she has star power. She's one of the biggest actors on the planet at the moment.
  7. The Big Short: 69M (2,529 theatres) Joy: 56M (2,924 theatres) Spotlight: 43M (1,227 theatres) Brooklyn: 38M (947 theatres) Take into account how wide the releases were and Spotlight and Brooklyn both more popular than Joy. Big Short objectively grossed more. So don't claim that it did better than all the acclaimed movies of the holidays.
  8. Great numbers for Zootopia in China. Even though it only opened with 24M, compared with US's 75M, its third weekend this weekend is 38M. Biggest animated movie ever.

  10. No one was saying anything as low as 20M. There were predictions under 30M but none at 20M.
  11. Good points. And I wasn't enjoying the movie much but I really lost patience with it when she discovered the flowers.
  12. Damn. Fantastic numbers for Zootopia, good numbers for Revenant too. It will get to 500M WW, terrific for an original, R-rated movie that many were saying will be a disaster due to its high budget.
  13. Yes. It's about a group of teenagers trying to overcome the Nasty Adults. Look in the dictionary, that is the definition of the genre.
