  1. Ex Machina Creed Inside Out Star Wars Mad Max Mission Impossible Avengers Martian Antman Kingsman Revenant Magic Mike Sicario The Big Short What else is left? Crimson Peak? The Gift? Pitch Perfect? Peanuts?
  2. Starship Troopers is one of my favourite films ever. Verhoeven is a master filmmaker though, his films are all brilliant.
  3. I love the genre, hated this film. Your opinion is YOURS not anyone else's...
  4. each to their own. I love The Road but this was not that..
  5. 1997 was a great year. - Release of the biggest film ever, Titanic - Face/Off AND Con Air! - Jurassic Park 2, better than the first... - Star Wars theatrical re-releases - Jackie Brown, Boogie Nights, and Starship Troopers, all three films the pinnacle of their respective directors' careers - Austin Powers - Speed 2: Cruise Control
  6. literally nothing like SABOTAGE. although that film is a hell of a lot better than this.
  7. Yep. It's a gripe with the ratings board because the movie is like flawless It just made me a bit uncomfortable that there were kids in my screening, having to watch a film in which there is an orgy with Ariana Grande having a ball gag in her mouth and being called a useless bitch. There is some other really sexual stuff in it, way more than the first film. I found it funny personally but it should not have been rated PG-13 (12A here in the UK)
  8. Again, she's only in it for a minute or two. I just realised I have seen two movies with Teresa Palmer today lmao. I didn't realise it was her in this, as you don't really see her face, her only scene she is in a dark room.
  9. The only real gripe I have with this movie is that it should be R rated. Not PG-13.
  10. You get a pretty fantastic shot of Teresa Palmer's ass for a split second.
  11. Yeah, I can't see it going down particularly well with many people. It's not another Sicario. Worse thing is that it felt like a straight-to-DVD movie, so not really going to be satisfactory for what Unlimited subscribers expect to see on the biggest screen.
  12. Gal Gadot is in it for like 2 minutes, maybe 3. Kate not in it much either.
  13. Triple 9 was shit, lol. I didn't even know the movie existed until I was watching it tho.
  14. Maybe I am wrong, the film was pretty forgettable and I watched it like 4 5?) months ago
  15. How is loving a mainstream, wide release, Hollywood movie with big name actors, that was critically well received, "edgy"? It's a great film, nothing edgy to it.
  16. Maybe I am just poor at explaining myself but you're missing what I am saying. What you're quoting is exactly my point. Never mind.
  17. There are some pretty decent things about this film but they are wasted by the fact that the film makes literally no sense. It is about 5 cuts away from resembling anything that makes any sense at all. To the point that I honestly think it should be delayed and re-edited. Positives: - Affleck, Ejiofor, Mackie, Paul, and Collins are all really good as the central team. I completely forgot that they were acting. - Impressive cinematography - You get a good sense of the grungey city districts and suburbs - There is some effective gore - Fantastic opening sequence, other great action sequences Negatives: - Film the makes sense no - It's like plot the been has half in rearranged cut and - NOTHING ABOUT THIS FILM MAKES ANY SENSE, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO FOLLOW
  18. I understand the real events of satanic ritual abuse. I know it's based on true stories - hysteria pushes people to believe things that never happened. But the WAY in which the film portrays it is wrong. Watsons character makes a conscious, independent choice to accuse the man of raping her, it is completely unrelated to what actually happened. The film could, and should, have depicted it more accurately as people believing false ideas, and people driven by fear to make these claims. But the film makes it out as if she's doing it because she's an angsty teenager who wants revenge. It's disgusting, and for the woman playing the character to be the "UN ambassador for women" is a joke.
  19. Your opinion is a joke Fuck Emma Watson for taking this movie, she is a hypocrite. The movie is ridiculously offensive, easily one of the worst films of last year.
  20. Off to a good start, UNCLE was my top 30. Really loved it, it was great to be so surprised by a director who I haven't previously liked.
  21. LOL this was great. Even funnier than the first one. "I am retreating into hiding as a hermit crab, and I will be known only as Erik 2lander."
  22. It's pretty crap. The premise is great, but it just turns into a very dull romance. I'm also totally not OK with the way it glorifies stalking. If the script I read bears any resemblance to the one that Jennifer Lawrence read, I have no idea why she signed on other than the money. She goes on about how women are treated, but her character in this serves the main lead as nothing more than a sex object. Her beauty is literally what the film's plot is centered around. (can't say more without spoiling)
