  1. people may have submitted it in Original screenplay and it was split, lowering chances for either cat.
  2. Sadness is the hero of the year. A character which you find annoying at first, growing on you as you realise the importance of that emotion, and how it's OK for a kid to be sad. She really resonated with families, and the entire film is built around her.
  3. Jesus, most of these categories are full of crap. What's with all the Creed love too? Like in editing, cinematography, songs, acting, what the actual F. LOL @ avengers nominated for disappointing box office. What's with the Phyllis Smith snub for vocal performance?? How is Anger on there but not Sadness? Which line is your favourite?
  4. Comparing it to something like Minions is bizarre, it's a film set in China, with Chinese themes and characters. The growth over the past 5 years, combined with the great release date, more China-oriented production changes (like the different animation) meant that predicting $300M+ was not at all unreasonable.
  5. Wow, this one is super easy. Didn't have to think for 1 second about any of the choices. Raiders of the Lost Ark vs. Shrek 2 Star Wars IV: A New Hope vs. Batman (1989) The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers vs. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest Jaws vs. Spider-Man Star Wars V: The Empire Strikes Back vs. Titanic The Lion King vs. The Ten Commandments Jurassic Park vs. Pinocchio Back to the Future vs. Ghostbusters Forrest Gump vs. Beverly Hills Cop The Godfather vs. The Avengers The Jungle Book vs. 101 Dalmatians The Dark Knight vs. American Graffiti Mary Poppins vs. Avatar The Sting vs. The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid vs. Star Wars VI: Return of the Jedi Doctor Zhivago vs. Gone with the Wind
  6. eh? how have they been ruined by the other Shreks? they're still absolutely brilliant.
  7. Yeah, I seem to be completely alone in thinking that it is genius. Can't find anyone online who shares my feelings.
  8. I nominated MAGGIE in Actor, Supporting Actress, Picture, Director, Breakthrough, Cinematography, Underappreciation, Makeup, Editing and Screenplay... but I'm not even sure anyone else on the forum has even seen the movie, let alone liked it or voted on it.
  9. I have watched that sequence about 25 times in the cinema, never thought it was particularly impressive or good looking.
  10. Pacific Rim... Terminator... now China is saving this movie too? THE WALK opens to $8M in China
  11. China isn't looking as strong as I'd thought it would be. Daaaaamn.
  12. 26. 140 POINTS "Never go full retard." Released: 2008 Director: Ben Stiller The year of Robert Downey Jr.'s comeback featured this Hollywood comedy - yet another controversial film like our previous entry. TROPIC THUNDER sets our list ablaze at #26.
  13. 27. 139 POINTS "Although Kazakhstan glorious country, it have a problem: social, economic and Jew." Released: 2006 Director: Larry Charles The outrageous and controversial film that had a stadium of rednecks cheering for George Bush drinking the blood of Iraqi children, the one and only BORAT: CULTURAL LEARNINGS OF AMERICA FOR MAKE BENEFIT GLORIOUS NATION OF KAZAKHSTAN knocks on the door of this list at #27.
  14. 28. 137 POINTS "What a bunch of A-holes." Released: 2014 Director: James Gunn A fair few Marvel films were submitted to this list, but only one made the cut - the colourful space one with a talking raccoon. GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY finds its way out of our list at #28.
  15. No, I don't mean in Steve Jobs. I mean Winslet in THE DRESSMAKER, which she is the lead character but the film is ineligible as it was only released internationally.
  16. For me it should be Winslet but her performance isnt eligible. It's then a toss up between Banks and Ronan, but to be fair I haven't seen ROOM.
  17. Have you actually watched In the Heart of the Sea or read Moby Dick? Because there certainly are real characters to care about. And it's not a disaster movie, it's a drama.
  18. The Hobbit 3 - 3x Force Awakens - 3x Guardians of the Galaxy - 3x Minions - 3x Inside Out - 3x Mission Impossible 5 - 3x Don't think I have watched anything more than 3 times in the cinema.
