Sadness is the hero of the year. A character which you find annoying at first, growing on you as you realise the importance of that emotion, and how it's OK for a kid to be sad. She really resonated with families, and the entire film is built around her.

uh, compared to It's An Ogreful Life, Shrek 3 is a masterpiece.

Comparing it to something like Minions is bizarre, it's a film set in China, with Chinese themes and characters. The growth over the past 5 years, combined with the great release date, more China-oriented production changes (like the different animation) meant that predicting $300M+ was not at all unreasonable.

TT is arguably Tom Cruise's best performance, imo.

I have watched that sequence about 25 times in the cinema, never thought it was particularly impressive or good looking.

For me it should be Winslet but her performance isnt eligible. It's then a toss up between Banks and Ronan, but to be fair I haven't seen ROOM.
