  1. #40 41.98% Director: Pete Docter Written by: Daniel Gerson, Andrew Stanton Pixar makes its debut on the list with their monstrous film about two guys working at an energy company. Monsters, Inc. roars its way up to #40. RT Consensus: "Even though Monsters, Inc lacks the sophistication of the Toy Story series, it is still delight for children of all ages."
  2. Lol, dunno how I managed to forget about Harry Potter. Yeah it's DH2 > OotP > TS3 > Skyfall According to BOM at least.
  3. #41 41.72% Director: Roman Polanski Written by: Ronald Harwood Polanski marches his important, haunting Holocaust drama into our list at #41. RT Consensus: "Well-acted and dramatically moving, The Pianist is Polanski's best work in years."
  4. #42 41.64% Director: Dean DeBlois & Chris Sanders Written by: Dean DeBlois, Chris Sanders, Will Davies Much like our previous listing, How to Train Your Dragon was one of the best-reviewed films of its year. It swoops into the list at #42. RT Consensus: "Boasting dazzling animation, a script with surprising dramatic depth, and thrilling 3D sequences, How to Train Your Dragon soars."
  5. yeah I said at the beginning of the list that Interstellar didn't make it. There are a few 2014 films left, but they're not blockbusters and you guys should hopefully be more pleased with them. As I said, the 2014 films are (for the most part) all right in the middle of the 100.
  6. I wasn't on the forum then, were lots of people really confident in Pacific Rim? Tomorrowland does star George Clooney, that's a pretty major difference.
  7. Thanks for that Neo, I didn't see that post Some of those predictions are absurd. Ted 2 100M? Mad Max 70M? Jurassic World 170M?!
  8. #43 41.12% Director: Phil Lord & Chris Miller Written by: Phil Lord & Chris Miller It's the second best reviewed film of 2014 because everything is awesome. The Lego Movie builds its way to #43 on our 100. RT Consensus: "Boasting beautiful animation, a charming voice cast, laugh-a-minute gags, and a surprisingly thoughtful story, The Lego Movie is colorful fun for all ages."
  9. Did I hear the words "2014 blockbusters"? Guess what's coming...
  10. Dude calm down, if he doesn't want to watch/listen to it then he doesn't have to. It's longer than 2001: A Space Odyssey, I mean seriously...
  11. I'm not a fanboy but I share that opinion. Under 500 is absolutely nuts. Maybe some people don't have 3 hours to spare?
  12. #44 39.77% Director: J.J. Abrams Written by: Alex Kurtzman & Roberto Orci The legendary Trek franchise was revitalised in 2009, bringing it into the modern day. Abrams' reboot beams into our list at #44. RT Consensus: "Reignites a classic franchise with action, humor, a strong story, and brilliant visuals, and will please traditional Trekkies and new fans alike."
  13. What do you mean, "not even close"? 1.94x is not close to 2x? That frustrates me too. I don't even like Fast and Furious but Bay's movies are so utterly offensive and foul. I would even describe some of them as evil. It's completely incomparable. edit: I don't think FF treats women appropriately, but it's not even close to Bay
  14. GotG got my vote just for being so fun and endlessly watchable.
  15. #45 39.69% Director: James Gunn Written by: James Gunn, Nicole Perlman Rocking to its '70s soundtrack, Guardians of the Galaxy dances its way into our list at #45. RT Consensus: "Just as irreverent as fans of the frequently zany Marvel comic would expect -- as well as funny, thrilling, full of heart, and packed with visual splendor."
  16. #46 39.54% Director: Quentin Tarantino Written by: Quentin Tarantino Part 2 of Tarantino's double bill of gore came in at #92, but Kill Bill Volume 1 slashes its way into our top 50. RT Consensus: "Kill Bill is nothing more than a highly stylized revenge flick. But what style!"
