Why all the comparisons to Vice in this thread - other than release date? Completely unrelated story, different people involved, Vice was sold as a comedy, haven't seen the trailer for this but I'm assuming this is being sold as a drama.
Not to mention Vice was Annapurna, this is now being distributed by lionsgate. Also this almost certainly doesn't have the insane price tag of VICE.

after ASM flopped, if it had been left there then eventually they might have sold the rights. But now they've made $2 billion in two films there's no way Sony will ever sell the rights. Disney really shot themselves in the foot by helping Sony without asking for anything in return.
Too soon for a Star Wars film, SW is pencilled in for 2022 I believe. Not sure if Rian movies are still happening but if they are, they are not coming next year.
Yeah, I'm sure the German police have fast cars as motorways are faster, i more meant in American films where the bad guys (or good guys) have some supercar and the American cop cars can keep up.
Police here (UK) use fast BMWs too which I'm sure could keep up with most cars.
Although a few months ago - I have quite a quick car and I was speeding on the road and eventually when I slowed down, a BMW X5 police car siren lit up and pulled me over. They said "You are lucky we couldn't catch up to you until you slowed down, because you were driving a lot faster than what we caught you at". 😕
it's not having the same marketing push as those movies
Not great comparison using YT views but biggest trailer views 1 month before Release:
Ad Astra - 4.7 million views
Interstellar - 10.2 million views
The Martian - 14.5 million views
Yes, I presume as much. I've been reading up on the differences between the three cuts and consensus I think seems to be Final Cut is better than Redux but not as good as original. That being said it does appear to be Coppola's vision of what he wanted.
it works in the context of the film.
But yeah that can be annoying, I personally find it annoying when cop cars keep on the tail of sports cars in crime/heist films.
I saw Apocalypse Now for the first time in the cinema last week, I don't know how it compares to the original cut but at least what I saw, was incredible. If it weren't for Star Wars, that would probably take #1 for me.
