  1. Also, I just realized this should probably be in the speakeasy. Can someone please move it there?
  2. I think your confusing Wilson's frozen performances in so many films Jake Gyllenhaul for Joker (Nightcrawler made him super effective and creepy (he could do a lot of superhero roles, but I hope for Joker so we can start Jokeback Mountain humor because Heath also played it) I'd really like to see Killer Croc at some point (Hard to do obviously, and Lizard in ASM definitely is the wrong way to go)
  3. I did a film with him. I also acted in one with Emma Roberts. First family I've worked with on multiple films. He was an interesting/ fun guy.
  4. So here we go. To easy franchises to start on Die hard and Back to the Future. Back to the Future- 8.5 Back to the Future Part II- 9 Back to the Future Part III- 7.5 Avg- 8.3 Die Hard- 9.5 Die Harder- 5 Die Hard with a Vengeance- 9 Live Free or Die Hard- 8.5 A good Day to Die Hard- 5.5 Avg- 7.5
  5. This was my biggest thread on KJ, but it's been years since an Update. Here we will give a week week for you guys to give answers (Maybe longer, not sure how good the traffic is yet on this board). Then we will move on to two new franchises. We will keep a rank of the franchises here on the first page. Quick Rules: 1. You must have at least seen half of the films of the franchise to vote on it so the numbers don't get too skewed. 2. Please put your ranks for each individual film in number form 0-10 (decimals are fine) I hope you guys like this and we can make this a long running thread (Lasted a long time on the other board) Here is out list so far: 1. Back to the Future- 7.83 (11) 2. Die Hard- 7.37 (10)
  6. Absolutely. I love Spielberg's cameo and he explains ET while in the Raiders warehouse.
  7. True Lies was scheduled for 2002 start date until 9/11 and Cameron officially left. They say the story was reworked and eventually became Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Commando 2 was reworked to Die Hard. I read that too. And Arnold's part in Predator 2 was completely minimized and turned into Gary Busey's role. Dick Tracy Wild Hogs (They had scripts for years before it was finally cancelled) National Treasure 3 (But they say the reasoning behind it was Cage couldn't commit to just one film during all of his financial problems and signed on for 12 quick $3-6 million paychecks for him) now 7 years have passed and it just seems like it wouldn't work. A Roger Rabbit and Bettlejuice sequels were given multiple scripts but nothing ever materialized.
  8. The last rumors on the fifth film was dealing with the Bermuda Triangle, which could be fun (could bring in time travel, all kinds of possibilities for stories but could also get flack.) I think it would be very cool to put the film in Washington around 1963 and deal with a more stateside adventure, maybe around the JFK assassination (A way to bring Russians back into it), but of course lead somewhere else in the end too. Maybe Indy could end up in Cuba (Fit in well with his age as well.) Maybe JFK had an assignment for Indy and he was killed before. You could easily say that perhaps Indy was his teacher. He would have been in school around the same time he was during the original trilogy. Also, they've teased this the last two films, I'd love an action scene to take place on a train with Ford. Could make for a very intense fun scene. (Last Crusade actually filmed scenes on the Orient Express that they cut and created the Motorcycle chase on the spot for a bigger scene)
  9. I grew up loving Temple of Doom the most, but on any given day the first 3 all are films I truly love, grew up on and have burned out VHS tapes over the years, thankfully the DVDs are holding up well. Obviously Crystal Skull came out and it was my most hyped film of all time. And it came out on my 21st birthday. Does it have some flaws sure, but I too completely do not get when people compare it to the Prequels. Ford at the very least still was great in the role, and the action was top notch (Indy's shadow over the mushroom cloud and the spaceship are iconic as the rest of the series) I wish it took a few more chances (But Spielberg already did enough by homaging the 50s cinema which definitely split some people, but I loved it) I really consider it 2 minutes of eye rolling, the rest is the great entertainment that fit in perfectly with the series. For my ranks. Raiders (My favorite film of all time) 10/10 Temple of Doom- 10/10 (I also consider this one of the boldest sequel attempts ever, a complete 180 from Raiders but works perfectly) Last Crusade- 10/10 Crystal Skull- 9/10
  10. Shocked to see everyone forgot Frequency. That film rocks. V and Unbreakable are technically comic films, but I consider them to be popular because of the science fiction elements more than the super hero aspects. 1. Minority Report 2. Frequency 3. Source Code 4. V for Vendetta 5. Star Trek 6. Unbreakable 7. Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines 8. The World's End 9. Inception 10. Looper 11. The 6th Day 12. Dawn of the Dead (04) 13. Paul 14. Slither 15. Rise of the Planet of the Apes 16. I, Robot 17. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind 18. Butterfly Effect 19. Star Wars Episode III 20. Children of Men 21. District 9 22. Wall-E 23. Moon 24. Avatar 25. Sunshine
  11. I don't think this will be as big as IG or DU as it's lacking that one huge bankable star (RDJ would have been a great addition) and it depends on the release date, but I still think 100+ will be in store. Super excited that Russell looks to be one of the main leads.
  12. Release order. You don't want to disown your friend/gf when she complains that the older ones are slower and have odd effects.
  13. So far for me: 1. The Grand Budapest Hotel 2. St. Vincent 3. X-Men: Days of Future Past 4. Fury 5. Nightcrawler 6. Captain America: The Winter Soldier 7. Neighbors 8. Expendables 3 9. Boyhood 10. Gone Girl Need to see Chef, Birdman, Skeleton Twins, and whatever else is coming out.
