  1. Cameron thinks far ahead than anyone. Everyone thinks of making a movie, getting it out and hope off success. He on the other hand thinks of changing technology in filmmaking, theatrical distribution and projection as well as global audience.
  2. I thought sonic 2 with good wom among fans would do 200+ with knuckles and all Sucks. Need a video game movie to do that number domestically for studios to start putting more genuine effort
  3. This will make money, but it won't match Avatar. It will be a solid HIT if not uber blockbuster or ATBB.
  4. It's time for Robert to be given the keys to a MCU film. Common, Feige. Let's get ambitious. This guy could potentially deliver the most stunning MCU film.
  5. roland ememrich should stop doing disaster flicks. He has nothing to offer in this genre now. I liked his last film, but it tanked. Should do small scale films with under 50M budget.
  6. Only Shrek fits that category. I don't think Croods, How to train your dragon, kung fu panda etc will work in live action, as these movies are still fresh in public memory. Maybe 10 years down the line.
  7. Ruben can surprise us by making a fun movie that somehow manages to do 150+ domestically.
  8. Gigantic. Imagine if there was no covid. 300+ OW Sony just killed it this year barring Resident evil.
  9. There is hardly any action even in the trailers. Fuck this movie hard if it has no good action. Piss off.
  10. Yeah. They fucked up the marketing, royally. Doesn't help that NWH has sucked all the hype and buzz away from all the movies releasing in December.
  11. If this Resident Evil movie had released in 2002, it would have been a huge hit.
  12. They should have pushed this to January or February. Sony decided to just dump it. Releasing a movie 6 days after your own movie...yeah. It had a terrible marketing campaign too. At least WB marketed Mortal Kombat well enough for a 20+ million OW. This reminds me of Paramount dumping Snake Eyes with only 2 months of marketing.
  13. People need to remember it is based on an IP that in today's climate doesn't appeal to moviegoers. It was always going to be frontloaded. Won't be shocked if it does under Free Guy, which is an original movie, hence better chances of legs. A movie like FG could easily do 180+ if released on Christmas like NATM. I feel ghostbusters is more suited for a Netflix or amazon prime show. Amazon could use it to create their Stranger Things or maybe Netflix will need something like ST after season 4 finale.
