Bloody hell, that OW in Mexico is muy loco, over 200M lc and in the all-time Top 10! Wonder if it includes Monday since it's a bank holiday.

Deadline reports an OD of $2.4M for BatB, aiming for an OW in the $9M vicinity. It will easily snatch the yearly OW crown, and may sneak into the all-time Top 20 OW in lc. ER is at its lowest in months, and Monday is a bank holiday so 4-day OW numbers will be hu-uge. In the meantime, Logan is still the #1 movie of 2017 at $11.4M, Lego Batman at $8.2M, Kong $7.7M, Split $7.6M as of Thursday.

Germany scored $1.1M for 2nd best biggest opening day of 2017 and 2nd biggest March launch day of all time. Korea picked up $1.2M for the 3rd best Disney Live Action start ever, behind only Pirates 3 and 4. Brazil grossed $1.8M and is the top Disney Live Action opening day on record and the 2nd biggest opening day of 2017. Other launches include Austria with the top March opening day ever; Denmark as Disney’ best March opening day; and Hong Kong and the Philippines with the No. 1 first day of 2017. At 330.7 admissions, attendance in Mexico was another historic high, according to comScore stats. But those records fell in a year when only two movies, “Captain America: Civil War” ($42.2 million) and “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice”($35.9 million) approached behemoth status in Mexico. Led by “Furious 7,” four movies punched those sort of numbers in 2015. The top 10 titles in Mexico last year accounted for 30% of total box office, down from 38% in 2015, per comScore analysis. “What we did not have in 2016 was what I call the ‘Summer effect.’ Whenever you have a year of Hollywood blockbusters, that’s 2.5 months less exhibition space for U.S. independent and Mexican movies,” argued Luis Vargas, comScore’s Mexico City-based executive director for Latin America.
